2023-10-18ramfb-standalone: add migration supportMarc-André Lureau
Add a "ramfb-dev" section whenever "x-migrate" is turned on. Turn it off by default on machines <= 8.1 for compatibility reasons. 2020-09-09Move QOM typedefs and add missing includesEduardo Habkost
Some typedefs and macros are defined after the type check macros. This makes it difficult to automatically replace their definitions with OBJECT_DECLARE_TYPE. Patch generated using: $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i \ --pattern=QOMStructTypedefSplit $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]') which will split "typdef struct { ... } TypedefName" declarations. Followed by: $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i --pattern=MoveSymbols \ $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]') which will: - move the typedefs and #defines above the type check macros - add missing #include "qom/object.h" lines if necessary Reviewed-by: Daniel P. 2020-05-18Revert "hw/display/ramfb: initialize fw-config space with xres/ yres"Gerd Hoffmann
This reverts commit f79081b4b71b72640bedd40a7cd76f864c8287f1. Patch has broken byteorder handling: RAMFBCfg fields are in bigendian byteorder, the reset function doesn't care so native byteorder is used instead. Given this went unnoticed so far the feature is obviously unused, so just revert the patch. 2020-01-24qdev: set properties with device_class_set_props()Marc-André Lureau
The following patch will need to handle properties registration during class_init time. 2019-08-16Clean up inclusion of sysemu/sysemu.hMarkus Armbruster
In my "build everything" tree, changing sysemu/sysemu.h triggers a recompile of some 5400 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h). Almost a third of its inclusions are actually superfluous. Delete them. Downgrade two more to qapi/qapi-types-run-state.h, and move one from char/serial.h to char/serial.c. hw/semihosting/config.c, monitor/monitor.c, qdev-monitor.c, and stubs/semihost.c define variables declared in sysemu/sysemu.h without including it. The compiler is cool with that, but include it anyway. This doesn't reduce actual use much, as it's still included into widely included headers. The next commit will tackle that. 2019-08-16Include hw/qdev-properties.h lessMarkus Armbruster
In my "build everything" tree, changing hw/qdev-properties.h triggers a recompile of some 2700 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h). Many places including hw/qdev-properties.h (directly or via hw/qdev.h) actually need only hw/qdev-core.h. Include hw/qdev-core.h there instead. hw/qdev.h is actually pointless: all it does is include hw/qdev-core.h and hw/qdev-properties.h, which in turn includes hw/qdev-core.h. Replace the remaining uses of hw/qdev.h by hw/qdev-properties.h. While there, delete a few superfluous inclusions of hw/qdev-core.h. Touching hw/qdev-properties.h now recompiles some 1200 objects.
