2020-01-12test: Move qtests to a separate directoryThomas Huth
The tests directory itself is pretty overcrowded, and it's hard to see which test belongs to which test subsystem (unit, qtest, ...). Let's move the qtests to a separate folder for more clarity. Message-Id: <20191218103059.11729-6-thuth@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Thomas Huth <thuth@redhat.com>
2019-09-05tests/libqtest: Use libqtest-single.h in tests that require global_qtestThomas Huth
Tests that require global_qtest or the related wrapper functions now use the libqtest-single.h header that is dedicated for everything related to global_qtest. The core libqtest.c and libqtest.h files are now completely indepedent from global_qtest, so that the core library is now not depending on a global state anymore. 2019-06-03libqos: i2c: move address into QI2CDevicePaolo Bonzini
This removes the hardcoded I2C address from the tests. The address is passed via QOSGraphEdgeOptions to i2c_device_create and stored in the QI2CDevice. The i2c_send and i2c_recv functions, along with their wrappers, therefore, can be changed to take a QI2CDevice rather than an adapter/address pair. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>
2019-06-03tests: convert OMAP i2c tests to qgraphPaolo Bonzini
This way, pca9952-test and tmp105-test will run for every machine that exposes an i2c-bus. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>
2019-06-03libqos: split I2CAdapter initialization and allocationPaolo Bonzini
Provide *_init functions that populate an I2CAdapter struct without allocating one, and make the existing *_create functions wrap them. Because in the new setup *_create might return a pointer inside the IMXI2C or OMAPI2C struct, create companion *_free functions to go back to the outer pointer. All this is temporary until allocation will be handled entirely by qgraph. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>
2019-06-03libqos: move common i2c code to libqosPaolo Bonzini
The functions to read/write 8-bit or 16-bit registers are the same in tmp105 and pca9552 tests, and in fact they are a special case of "read block"/"write block" functionality; read block in turn is used in ds1338-test. Move everything inside libqos-test, removing the duplication. Account for the small differences by adding to tmp105-test.c the "read register after writing" behavior that is specific to it. 2018-06-08misc: add pca9552 LED blinker modelCédric Le Goater
Specs are available here : https://www.nxp.com/docs/en/application-note/AN264.pdf This is a simple model supporting the basic registers for led and GPIO mode. The device also supports two blinking rates but not the model yet. 2018-05-04qobject: Replace qobject_incref/QINCREF qobject_decref/QDECREFMarc-André Lureau
Now that we can safely call QOBJECT() on QObject * as well as its subtypes, we can have macros qobject_ref() / qobject_unref() that work everywhere instead of having to use QINCREF() / QDECREF() for QObject and qobject_incref() / qobject_decref() for its subtypes. The replacement is mechanical, except I broke a long line, and added a cast in monitor_qmp_cleanup_req_queue_locked(). Unlike qobject_decref(), qobject_unref() doesn't accept void *. Note that the new macros evaluate their argument exactly once, thus no need to shout them. 2018-02-09Include qapi/qmp/qdict.h exactly where neededMarkus Armbruster
This cleanup makes the number of objects depending on qapi/qmp/qdict.h drop from 4550 (out of 4743) to 368 in my "build everything" tree. For qapi/qmp/qobject.h, the number drops from 4552 to 390. 2014-07-01libqtest: escape strings in QMP commands, fix leakPaolo Bonzini
libqtest is using g_strdup_printf to format QMP commands, but this does not work if the argument strings need to be escaped. Instead, use the fancy %-formatting functionality of QObject. The only change required in tests is that strings have to be formatted as %s, not '%s' or \"%s\". Luckily this usage of parameterized QMP commands is not that frequent. The leak is in socket_sendf. Since we are extracting the send loop to a new function, fix it now. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>

2013-11-19qtest: Use -display none by defaultAndreas Färber
This avoids each test needing to add it to suppress windows popping up. [Commit 7ceeedd016facf8d58e14a0d1417fa7225d71072 ("blockdev-test: add test case for drive_add duplicate IDs") and commit 43cd209803d6cffb1e1a028c9ff2fd0ff4fce954 ("qdev-monitor-test: add device_add leak test cases") added qtest tests without specifying -display none. As a result, "make check" now tries to use graphics (GTK or SDL). Since graphics are not used by the test and inappropriate for headless "make check" runs, add the missing -display none. This fixes "make check" in the QEMU buildbot. -- Stefan] Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de> Signed-off-by: Stefan Hajnoczi <stefanha@redhat.com>

2013-04-08hw: move headers to include/Paolo Bonzini
Many of these should be cleaned up with proper qdev-/QOM-ification. Right now there are many catch-all headers in include/hw/ARCH depending on cpu.h, and this makes it necessary to compile these files per-target. However, fixing this does not belong in these patches.
