2018-12-13cutils: Fix qemu_strtosz() & friends to reject non-finite sizesDavid Hildenbrand
qemu_strtosz() & friends reject NaNs, but happily accept infinities. They shouldn't. Fix that. The fix makes use of qemu_strtod_finite(). To avoid ugly casts, change the @end parameter of qemu_strtosz() & friends from char ** to const char **. Also, add two test cases, testing that "inf" and "NaN" are properly rejected. While at it, also fixup the function documentation. 2017-02-23util/cutils: Let qemu_strtosz*() optionally reject trailing crapMarkus Armbruster
Change the qemu_strtosz() & friends to return -EINVAL when @endptr is null and the conversion doesn't consume the string completely. Matches how qemu_strtol() & friends work. Only test_qemu_strtosz_simple() passes a null @endptr. No functional change there, because its conversion consumes the string. Simplify callers that use @endptr only to fail when it doesn't point to '\0' to pass a null @endptr instead. 2013-02-04cutils: unsigned int parsing functionsEduardo Habkost
There are lots of duplicate parsing code using strto*() in QEMU, and most of that code is broken in one way or another. Even the visitors code have duplicate integer parsing code[1]. This introduces functions to help parsing unsigned int values: parse_uint() and parse_uint_full(). Parsing functions for signed ints and floats will be submitted later. parse_uint_full() has all the checks made by opts_type_uint64() at opts-visitor.c: - Check for NULL (returns -EINVAL) - Check for negative numbers (returns -EINVAL) - Check for empty string (returns -EINVAL) - Check for overflow or other errno values set by strtoll() (returns -errno) - Check for end of string (reject invalid characters after number) (returns -EINVAL) parse_uint() does everything above except checking for the end of the string, so callers can continue parsing the remainder of string after the number. Unit tests included. [1] string-input-visitor.c:parse_int() could use the same parsing code used by opts-visitor.c:opts_type_int(), instead of duplicating that logic.
