2022-10-11tests/x86: Add 'q35' machine type to drive_del-testMichael Labiuk
Configure pci bridge setting to run tests on 'q35' machine type. Signed-off-by: Michael Labiuk <michael.labiuk@virtuozzo.com> Message-Id: <20220929223547.1429580-9-michael.labiuk@virtuozzo.com> Reviewed-by: Thomas Huth <thuth@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Thomas Huth <thuth@redhat.com>
2022-10-11tests/x86: replace snprint() by g_strdup_printf() in drive_del-testMichael Labiuk
Using g_autofree char* and g_strdup_printf(...) instead of ugly snprintf on stack array. 2022-05-03tests: move libqtest.h back under qtest/Marc-André Lureau
Since commit a2ce7dbd917 ("meson: convert tests/qtest to meson"), libqtest.h is under libqos/ directory, while libqtest.c is still in qtest/. Move back to its original location to avoid mixing with libqos/. 2022-02-21tests/x86: Use 'pc' machine type for hotplug testsDr. David Alan Gilbert
Hotplug tests need a bridge setting up on q35, for now keep them on 'pc'. Signed-off-by: Dr. David Alan Gilbert <dgilbert@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Thomas Huth <thuth@redhat.com> Message-Id: <20220215162537.605030-3-dgilbert@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Thomas Huth <thuth@redhat.com>
2020-10-12qemu-iotests, qtest: rewrite test 067 as a qtestPaolo Bonzini
Test 067 from qemu-iotests is executing QMP commands to hotplug and hot-unplug disks, devices and blockdevs. Because the power of the text-based test harness is limited, it is actually limiting the checks that it does, for example by skipping DEVICE_DELETED events. tests/qtest already has a similar test, drive_del-test.c. We can merge them, and even reuse some of the existing code in drive_del-test.c. This will improve the quality of the test by covering DEVICE_DELETED events and testing multiple architectures (therefore covering multiple PCI hotplug mechanisms as well as s390x virtio-ccw). The only difference is that the new test will always use null-co:// for the medium rather than qcow2 or raw, but this should be irrelevant for what the test is covering. For example there are no "qemu-img check" runs in 067 that would check that the file is properly closed. The new tests requires PCI hot-plug support, so drive_del-test is moved from qemu-system-ppc to qemu-system-ppc64. 2020-10-12qtest: check that drives are really appearing and disappearingPaolo Bonzini
Do not just trust the HMP commands to create and delete the drive, use query-block to check that this is actually the case. Reviewed-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>
2020-10-12qtest: switch users back to qtest_qmp_receiveMaxim Levitsky
Let test use the new functionality for buffering events. The only remaining users of qtest_qmp_receive_dict are tests that fuzz the QMP protocol. Tested with 'make check-qtest'. 2020-10-12qtest: rename qtest_qmp_receive to qtest_qmp_receive_dictMaxim Levitsky
In the next patch a new version of qtest_qmp_receive will be reintroduced that will buffer received qmp events for later consumption in qtest_qmp_eventwait_ref No functional change intended. 2020-09-03libqtest: Rename qmp_assert_error_class() to qmp_expect_error_and_unref()Markus Armbruster
qmp_assert_error_class() does more than just assert: it also unrefs the @rsp argument. Rename to qmp_expect_error_and_unref() to reduce confusion. 2020-01-12test: Move qtests to a separate directoryThomas Huth
The tests directory itself is pretty overcrowded, and it's hard to see which test belongs to which test subsystem (unit, qtest, ...). Let's move the qtests to a separate folder for more clarity.
