2022-04-25iotests: replace calls to log(qemu_io(...)) with qemu_io_log()John Snow
This makes these callsites a little simpler, but the real motivation is a forthcoming commit will change the return type of qemu_io(), so removing users of the return value now is helpful. 2022-04-20iotests/303: Check for zstd supportHanna Reitz
303 runs two test cases, one of which requires zstd support. Unfortunately, given that this is not a unittest-style test, we cannot easily skip that single case, and instead can only skip the whole test. (Alternatively, we could split this test into a zlib and a zstd part, but that seems excessive, given that this test is not in auto and thus likely only run by developers who have zstd support compiled in.) 2022-03-22iotests: replace unchecked calls to qemu_img_pipe()John Snow
qemu_img_pipe() discards the return code from qemu-img in favor of returning just its output. Some tests using this function don't save, log, or check the output either, though, which is unsafe. Replace all of these calls with a checked version. Tests affected are 194, 202, 203, 234, 262, and 303. 2022-02-01iotest 303: explicit compression typeVladimir Sementsov-Ogievskiy
The test prints qcow2 header fields which depends on chosen compression type. So, let's be explicit in what compression type we want and independent of IMGOPTS. Test both existing compression types. 2022-02-01iotests: specify some unsupported_imgopts for python iotestsVladimir Sementsov-Ogievskiy
We are going to support IMGOPTS for python iotests. Still some iotests will not work with common IMGOPTS used with bash iotests like specifying refcount_bits and compat qcow2 options. So we should define corresponding unsupported_imgopts for now. 2021-01-20iotests: define group in each iotestVladimir Sementsov-Ogievskiy
We are going to drop group file. Define group in tests as a preparatory step. The patch is generated by cd tests/qemu-iotests grep '^[0-9]\{3\} ' group | while read line; do file=$(awk '{print $1}' <<< "$line"); groups=$(sed -e 's/^... //' <<< "$line"); awk "NR==2{print \"# group: $groups\"}1" $file > tmp; cat tmp > $file; done Signed-off-by: Vladimir Sementsov-Ogievskiy <vsementsov@virtuozzo.com> Reviewed-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com> Message-Id: <20210116134424.82867-7-vsementsov@virtuozzo.com> Signed-off-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com>
2021-01-20iotests/303: use dot slash for qcow2.py runningVladimir Sementsov-Ogievskiy
If you run './check 303', check includes common.config which adjusts $PATH to include '.' first, and therefore finds qcow2.py on PATH. But if you run './303' directly, there is nothing to adjust PATH, and if '.' is not already on your PATH by other means, the test fails because the executable is not found. Adjust how we invoke the helper executable to avoid needing a PATH search in the first place. 2020-08-21iotests: add test for QCOW2 header dumpAndrey Shinkevich
The simple script creates a QCOW2 image and fills it with some data. Two bitmaps are created as well. Then the script reads the image header with extensions from the disk by running the script qcow2.py and dumps the information to the output. Other entities, such as snapshots, may be added to the test later.
