2020-05-08iotests: handle tmpfsVladimir Sementsov-Ogievskiy
Some tests requires O_DIRECT, or want it by default. Introduce smarter O_DIRECT handling: - Check O_DIRECT in common.rc, if it is requested by selected cache-mode. - Support second fall-through argument in _default_cache_mode Inspired-by: Max's 23e1d054112cec1e Signed-off-by: Vladimir Sementsov-Ogievskiy <vsementsov@virtuozzo.com> Message-Id: <20200430124713.3067-2-vsementsov@virtuozzo.com> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>

2020-01-06iotests: Make 091 work with data_fileMax Reitz
The image end offset as reported by qemu-img check is different when using an external data file; we do not care about its value here, so we can just filter it. Incidentally, common.rc already has _check_test_img for us which does exactly that. 2019-09-03iotests: Unify cache mode quotingNir Soffer
Quoting cache mode is not needed, and most tests use unquoted values. Unify all test to use the same style. Message-id: 20190827173432.7656-1-nsoffer@redhat.com Signed-off-by: Nir Soffer <nsoffer@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Max Reitz <mreitz@redhat.com>
2019-03-08qemu-iotests: Improve portability by searching bash in the $PATHPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé
Bash is not always installed as /bin/bash. In particular on OpenBSD, the package installs it in /usr/local/bin. Use the 'env' shebang to search bash in the $PATH. Patch created mechanically by running: $ git grep -lE '#! ?/bin/bash' -- tests/qemu-iotests \ | while read f; do \ sed -i 's|^#!.\?/bin/bash$|#!/usr/bin/env bash|' $f; \ done Reviewed-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Philippe Mathieu-Daudé <philmd@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>
2018-11-19qemu-iotests: remove unused variable 'here'Mao Zhongyi
Running git grep '\$here' tests/qemu-iotests has 0 hits, which means we are setting a variable that has no use. It appears that commit e8f8624d removed the last use. So execute the following cmd to remove all of the 'here=...' lines as dead code. sed -i '/^here=/d' $(git grep -l '^here=' tests/qemu-iotests) Cc: kwolf@redhat.com Cc: mreitz@redhat.com Cc: eblake@redhat.com Suggested-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Mao Zhongyi <maozhongyi@cmss.chinamobile.com> Message-Id: <20181024094051.4470-3-maozhongyi@cmss.chinamobile.com> Reviewed-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com> [eblake: touch up commit message, reorder series, rebase to master] Signed-off-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com>

2014-05-28qemu-iotests: Handle cache mode option in 091Fam Zheng
We should allow testing this on tmpfs. Any cache setting in iotests should try to obey $CACHEMODE. The cache mode is still "none" by default but overridable Signed-off-by: Fam Zheng <famz@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Stefan Hajnoczi <stefanha@redhat.com>
2014-05-09block: qemu-iotests - test for live migrationJeff Cody
This is an initial, simple live migration test from one running VM to another, using monitor commands. This is also an example of using the new common.qemu functions for controlling multiple running qemu instances, for tests that need a live qemu vm.
