2020-01-12test: Move qtests to a separate directoryThomas Huth
The tests directory itself is pretty overcrowded, and it's hard to see which test belongs to which test subsystem (unit, qtest, ...). Let's move the qtests to a separate folder for more clarity. 2019-05-21tests/numa-test: Use qtest_init() instead of qtest_start()Thomas Huth
qtest_start() + qtest_end() should be avoided, since they use the global_qtest variable that we want to get rid of in the long run. Use qtest_init() and qtest_quit() instead. Message-Id: <20190515174328.16361-4-thuth@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Thomas Huth <thuth@redhat.com>
2018-08-16libqtest: Replace qtest_startf() by qtest_initf()Markus Armbruster
qtest_init() creates a new QTestState, and leaves @global_qtest alone. qtest_start() additionally assigns it to @global_qtest, but qtest_startf() additionally assigns NULL to @global_qtest. This makes no sense. Replace it by qtest_initf() that works like qtest_init(), i.e. leaves @global_qtest alone. 2018-07-16cli qmp: Mark --preconfig, exit-preconfig experimentalMarkus Armbruster
Committing to the current --preconfig / exit-preconfig interface before it has seen any use is premature. Mark both as experimental, the former in documentation, the latter by renaming it to x-exit-preconfig. See the previous commit for more detailed rationale. 2018-05-04qobject: Replace qobject_incref/QINCREF qobject_decref/QDECREFMarc-André Lureau
Now that we can safely call QOBJECT() on QObject * as well as its subtypes, we can have macros qobject_ref() / qobject_unref() that work everywhere instead of having to use QINCREF() / QDECREF() for QObject and qobject_incref() / qobject_decref() for its subtypes. The replacement is mechanical, except I broke a long line, and added a cast in monitor_qmp_cleanup_req_queue_locked(). Unlike qobject_decref(), qobject_unref() doesn't accept void *. Note that the new macros evaluate their argument exactly once, thus no need to shout them. 2018-03-19qapi: Replace qobject_to_X(o) by qobject_to(X, o)Max Reitz
This patch was generated using the following Coccinelle script: @@ expression Obj; @@ ( - qobject_to_qnum(Obj) + qobject_to(QNum, Obj) | - qobject_to_qstring(Obj) + qobject_to(QString, Obj) | - qobject_to_qdict(Obj) + qobject_to(QDict, Obj) | - qobject_to_qlist(Obj) + qobject_to(QList, Obj) | - qobject_to_qbool(Obj) + qobject_to(QBool, Obj) ) and a bit of manual fix-up for overly long lines and three places in tests/check-qjson.c that Coccinelle did not find.
