2020-01-12test: Move qtests to a separate directoryThomas Huth
The tests directory itself is pretty overcrowded, and it's hard to see which test belongs to which test subsystem (unit, qtest, ...). Let's move the qtests to a separate folder for more clarity. In certain environments like restricted containers, we can not create huge test images. To be able to use "make check" in such container environments, too, let's skip the hd-geo-test instead of failing when the test images could not be created. 2019-10-31hd-geo-test: Add tests for lchs overrideSam Eiderman
Add QTest tests to check the logical geometry override option. The tests in hd-geo-test are out of date - they only test IDE and do not test interesting MBRs. Creating qcow2 disks with specific size and MBR layout is currently unused - we only use a default empty MBR. 2018-08-15block: Remove deprecated -drive geometry optionsKevin Wolf
This reinstates commit a7aff6dd10b16b67e8b142d0c94c5d92c3fe88f6, which was temporarily reverted for the 3.0 release so that libvirt gets some extra time to update their command lines. The -drive options cyls, heads, secs and trans were deprecated in QEMU 2.10. It's time to remove them. hd-geo-test tested both the old version with geometry options in -drive and the new one with -device. Therefore the code using -drive doesn't have to be replaced there, we just need to remove the -drive test cases. This in turn allows some simplification of the code. 2015-12-18blockdev: Set 'format' indicates non-empty driveKevin Wolf
Creating an empty drive while specifying 'format' doesn't make sense. The specified format driver would simply be ignored. Make a set 'format' option an indication that a non-empty drive should be created. This makes 'format' consistent with 'driver' and allows using it with a block driver that doesn't need any other options (like null-co/null-aio). 2013-11-19qtest: Use -display none by defaultAndreas Färber
This avoids each test needing to add it to suppress windows popping up. [Commit 7ceeedd016facf8d58e14a0d1417fa7225d71072 ("blockdev-test: add test case for drive_add duplicate IDs") and commit 43cd209803d6cffb1e1a028c9ff2fd0ff4fce954 ("qdev-monitor-test: add device_add leak test cases") added qtest tests without specifying -display none. As a result, "make check" now tries to use graphics (GTK or SDL). Since graphics are not used by the test and inappropriate for headless "make check" runs, add the missing -display none.
