2021-10-20rebuild-expected-aml.sh: allow partial target listMichael S. Tsirkin
Only rebuild AML for configured targets. Signed-off-by: Michael S. Tsirkin <mst@redhat.com>
2020-08-21meson: link emulators without Makefile.targetPaolo Bonzini
The binaries move to the root directory, e.g. qemu-system-i386 or qemu-arm. This requires changes to qtests, CI, etc. Signed-off-by: Marc-André Lureau <marcandre.lureau@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>
2020-07-01tests: disassemble-aml.sh: generate AML in readable formatMichael S. Tsirkin
On systems where the IASL tool exists, we can convert extected ACPI tables to ASL format, which is useful for debugging and documentation purposes. This script does this for all ACPI tables under tests/data/acpi/. Signed-off-by: Michael S. Tsirkin <mst@redhat.com>
2020-02-25rebuild-expected-aml.sh: remind about the processMichael S. Tsirkin
Remind users of rebuild-expected-aml.sh about the process to follow. Suppress the warning if allowed file list exists - that's a big hint user is already aware of the process. Signed-off-by: Michael S. Tsirkin <mst@redhat.com>
2020-01-16tests: acpi: update path in rebuild-expected-amlShameer Kolothum
Since commit 1e8a1fae7464("test: Move qtests to a separate directory") qtests are now placed in a separate folder and this breaks the script used to rebuild the expected ACPI tables for bios-tables-test. Update the script with correct path. 2019-06-16tests/rebuild-expected-aml.sh: blow out difflistMichael S. Tsirkin
As expected files have been updated, make sure we do not forget to remove them from the allowed diff list. Signed-off-by: Michael S. Tsirkin <mst@redhat.com>
2019-06-03tests: acpi: add simple arm/virt testcaseIgor Mammedov
adds simple arm/virt test case that starts guest with bios-tables-test.aarch64.iso.qcow2 boot image which initializes UefiTestSupport* structure in RAM once guest is booted. * see commit: tests: acpi: add acpi_find_rsdp_address_uefi() helper Signed-off-by: Igor Mammedov <imammedo@redhat.com> Message-Id: <1559560929-260254-3-git-send-email-imammedo@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Michael S. 2019-03-08tests/bios-tables: Improve portability by searching bash in the $PATHPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé
Bash is not always installed as /bin/bash. In particular on OpenBSD, the package installs it in /usr/local/bin. Use the 'env' shebang to search bash in the $PATH. 2018-11-05tests: Move tests/acpi-test-data/ to tests/data/acpi/Peter Maydell
Currently tests/acpi-test-data contains data files used by the bios-tables-test, and configure individually symlinks those data files into the build directory using a wildcard. Using a wildcard like this is a bad idea, because if a new data file is added, nothing causes configure to be rerun, and so no symlink is added for the new file. This can cause tests to spuriously fail when they can't find their data. Instead, it's better to symlink an entire directory of data files. We already have such a directory: tests/data. Move the data files from tests/acpi-test-data/ to tests/data/acpi/, and remove the unnecessary symlinking. We can remove entirely the note in rebuild-expected-aml.sh about copying any new data files, because now they will be in the source directory, not the build directory, and no copying is required. (We can't just change the existing tests/acpi-test-data/ to being a symlinked directory, because if we did that and a developer switched git branches from one after that change to one before it then configure would end up trashing all the test files by making them symlinks to themselves. Changing their path avoids this annoyance.) Signed-off-by: Peter Maydell <peter.maydell@linaro.org> Reviewed-by: Michael S. Tsirkin <mst@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Michael S. Tsirkin <mst@redhat.com>
