The linter is complaining the `pick_default_qemu_bin` is not explicitly
returning None. Fix it to explicitly return None and avoid R1710

The current implementation will crash if the connection fails as the
`time` module is not imported. Fix the import problem. While here,
tweaks the connection to wait progressively when the connection fails.

PEP3135 states when calling super(), there is no need to use arguments.
This changes the calls on avocado_qemu to standardize according to

The avocado.Test class, used as the basis of the avocado_qemu.Test
class, performs a clean of temporary directories up as part of its own
tearDown() implementation.
But the avocado_qemu.Test class is currently missing the same clean
up, as it implemented its own tearDown() method without resorting to
the upper class behavior.
This brings avocado_qemu.Test behavior in sync with the standard
avocado.Test behavior and prevents temporary directories from
cluttering the test results directory (unless instructed to do so with
Avocado's "--keep-tmp" option).

This introduces a new feature to the functional tests: automatic setting of
the '-cpu VALUE' option to the created vm if the test is tagged with
'cpu:VALUE'. The 'cpu' property is made available to the test object as well.
For example, for a simple test as:

KNOWN_DISTROS collection
When running LinuxTests we may need to run the guest with
custom params. It is practical to store the pxeboot URL
and the default kernel params so that the
tests just need to fetch those and augment the kernel params.

If a guest sends binary data on the serial console, we get:

Since we use the console with readline(), fix it the easiest
way possible: ignore binary data (all current tests compare
text string anyway).

The tests based on the LinuxTest class give the test writer a ready to
use guest operating system, currently pinned to Fedora 31.
With this change, it's now possible to choose different distros and
versions, similar to how other tags and parameter can be set for the
target arch, accelerator, etc.
One of the reasons for this work, is that some development features
depend on updates on the guest side. For instance the tests on
virtiofs_submounts.py, require newer kernels, and may benefit from
running, say on Fedora 34, without the need for a custom kernel.
Please notice that the pre-caching of the Fedora 31 images done during
the early stages of `make check-acceptance` (before the tests are
actually executed) are not expanded here to cover every new image
added. But, the tests will download other needed images (and cache
them) during the first execution.

Instead of having, by default, the checksum in the tests, and the
definition of tests in the framework, let's keep them together.
A central definition for distributions is available, and it should
allow other known distros to be added more easily.
No behavior change is expected here, and tests can still define
a distro_checksum value if for some reason they want to override
the known distribution information.

This renames the attribute that holds the checksum for the image Linux
distribution image used.
The current name of the attribute is not very descriptive. Also, in
preparation for making the distribution used configurable, which will
add distro related parameters, attributes and tags, let's make the
naming of those more uniform.

Logs can be very important to debug issues, and currently QEMUMachine
instances will remove logs that are created under the temporary
directories.
With this change, the stdout and stderr generated by the QEMU process
started by QEMUMachine will always be kept along the test results
directory.

The QEMUMachine uses a base temporary directory for all temporary
needs. By setting it to the Avocado's workdir, it's possible to
keep the temporary files during debugging sessions much more
easily by setting the "--keep-tmp" command line option.

move python/qemu/*.py to python/qemu/[machine, qmp, utils]/*.py and
update import directives across the tree.
This is done to create a PEP420 namespace package, in which we may
create subpackages. To do this, the namespace directory ("qemu") should
not have any modules in it. Those files will go into new 'machine',
'qmp' and 'utils' subpackages instead.
Implement machine/__init__.py making the top-level classes and functions
from its various modules available directly inside the package. Change
qmp.py to qmp/__init__.py similarly, such that all of the useful QMP
library classes are available directly from "qemu.qmp" instead of
"qemu.qmp.qmp".

The LinuxTest specifically targets users that need to interact with Linux
guests. So, it makes sense to give a connection by default, and avoid

For users of the LinuxTest class, let's set up the VM with the port
redirection for SSH, instead of requiring each test to set the same
arguments.
It also sets the network device, by default, to virtio-net.

Both the virtiofs submounts and the linux ssh mips malta tests
contains useful methods related to ssh that deserve to be made
available to other tests. Let's move them to an auxiliary, mix-in
class that will be used on the base LinuxTest class.
The method that helps with setting up an ssh connection will now
support both key and password based authentication, defaulting to key
based.

Sometimes a test needs to send a command to a console without waiting
for a pattern as a result, or the command issued do not produce any kind
of output, like, for example, a `mount` command.
This introduces the `exec_command` function to the avocado_qemu,
allowing the test to send a command to the console without the need to
match a pattern produced as a result.

It's questionable whether it's necessary to create one brand new pair
for each test. It's not questionable that it takes less time and
resources to just use the keys available at "tests/keys" that exist
for that exact reason.
If a location for the public key is not given explicitly, the
LinuxTest will now set up the existing pair of keys as the default.
This removes the need for a lot of boilerplate code.
To avoid the ssh client from erroring on permission issues, a
directory with restrictive permissions is created for the private key.
This should still be a lot cheaper than creating a new key.

Some tests explicitly require a QEMU accelerator to be available.
Given that this depends on some runtime aspects not known before
the test is started, such as the currently set QEMU binary, it's

Previously we were leaving temporary directories behind. While the
QEMUMachine does make efforts to clean up after itself the directory
belongs to the calling function. We use TemporaryDirectory to wrap
this although we explicitly clear the reference in tearDown() as it
doesn't get cleaned up otherwise.

Invert the default of avocado.Test.fetch_asset 'cancel_on_missing'
keyword: accept missing artefacts by default. If a test is certain
an artifact can't be missing, it will set cancel_on_missing=False.

Some tests may benefit from using resources from a build directory.
This introduces three variables that can help tests find resources in
those directories.
First, a BUILD_DIR is assumed to exist, given that the primary form of
running the acceptance tests is from a build directory (which may or
may not be the same as the source tree, that is, the SOURCE_DIR).
If the directory containing the acceptance tests happens to be a link
to a directory, it's assumed to it points to the source tree
(SOURCE_DIR), which is the behavior defined on the QEMU Makefiles. If
the directory containing the acceptance tests is not a link, then a
in-tree build is assumed, and the BUILD_DIR and SOURCE_DIR have the
same value.

The same way the arch tag is being used as a fallback for the arch
parameter, let's do the same for QEMU's machine and avoid some boiler
plate code.
This is now possible because, since Avocado 72.0, it's possible to use
tags with names that match the machine types on QEMU.

Currently a test can describe the target architecture binary that it
should primarily be run with, be setting a single tag value.
The same approach is expected to be done with other QEMU aspects to be
tested, for instance, the machine type and accelerator, so let's
generalize the logic into a utility method.

Change 32558ce7a4 introduced specific directories for the socket dir
when using python/qemu/machine.py:QEMUMachine. iotests probably
didn't catch the condition that two simultaneous QEMUMachine
instances, without manually set temporary or socket dirs would clash.
Having two QEMUMachine instances is a condition expected for many
acceptance tests, and it's already used by the migration tests.

Current acceptance test will not run properly in powerpc
environment due qemu target is different from arch, this
usually matches, except with bi-endian architectures like ppc64.
uname would return `ppc64` or `ppc64le` based `big` or `little`
endian but qemu `target` is always `ppc64`. Let's handle it.

It's not obvious that something named __init__.py actually houses
important code that isn't relevant to python packaging glue. Move the
QEMUMachine and related error classes out into their own module.
Adjust users to the new import location.

A test can, optionally, be tagged for one or many architectures. If a
test has been tagged for a single architecture, there's a high chance
that the test won't run on other architectures. This changes the
default order of choosing a default target architecture to use based
on the 'arch' tag value first.
The precedence order is for choosing a QEMU binary to use for a test
is now:
* qemu_bin parameter
* arch parameter
* arch tag value (for example, x86_64 if ":avocado: tags=arch:x86_64
is used)
This means that if one runs:
$ avocado run -p qemu_bin=/usr/bin/qemu-system-x86_64 test.py
No arch parameter or tag will influence the selection of the QEMU
target binary. If one runs:
$ avocado run -p arch=ppc64 test.py
The target binary selection mechanism will attempt to find a binary
such as "ppc64-softmmu/qemu-system-ppc64". And finally, if one runs
a test that is tagged (in its docstring) with "arch:aarch64":
$ avocado run aarch64.py
The target binary selection mechanism will attempt to find a binary
such as "aarch64-softmmu/qemu-system-aarch64".
At this time, no provision is made to cancel the execution of tests if
the arch parameter given (manually) does not match the test "arch"
tag, but it may be a useful default behavior to be added in the
future.

It's useful to define the architecture that should be used in
situations such as:
* the intended target of the QEMU binary to be used on tests
* the architecture of code to be run within the QEMU binary, such
as a kernel image or a full blown guest OS image
This commit introduces both a test parameter and a test instance
attribute, that will contain such a value.
Now, when the "arch" test parameter is given, it will influence the
selection of the default QEMU binary, if one is not given explicitly
by means of the "qemu_img" parameter.

This change adds the possibility to write acceptance tests with multi
virtual machine support. It's done keeping the virtual machines objects
stored in a test attribute (dictionary). This dictionary shouldn't be
accessed directly but through the new method added `get_vm`. This new
method accept a list of args (that will be added as virtual machine
arguments) and an optional name argument. The name is the key that
identify a single virtual machine along the test machines available. If
a name without a machine is informed a new machine will be instantiated.
The current usage of vm in tests will not be broken by this change since
it keeps a property called vm in the base test class. This property only
calls the new method `get_vm` with default parameters (no args and
'default' as machine name).

This is a simple move of Python code that wraps common QEMU
functionality, and are used by a number of different tests
and scripts.
By treating that code as a real Python module, we can more easily:
* reuse code
* have a proper place for the module's own unittests
* apply a more consistent style
* generate documentation
