2024-07-18target/riscv: Add zimop extensionLIU Zhiwei
Zimop extension defines an encoding space for 40 MOPs.The Zimop extension defines 32 MOP instructions named MOP.R.n, where n is an integer between 0 and 31, inclusive. The Zimop extension additionally defines 8 MOP instructions named MOP.RR.n, where n is an integer between 0 and 7. These 40 MOPs initially are defined to simply write zero to x[rd], but are designed to be redefined by later extensions to perform some other action. 2023-07-10riscv: Add support for the Zfa extensionChristoph Müllner
This patch introduces the RISC-V Zfa extension, which introduces additional floating-point instructions: * fli (load-immediate) with pre-defined immediates * fminm/fmaxm (like fmin/fmax but with different NaN behaviour) * fround/froundmx (round to integer) * fcvtmod.w.d (Modular Convert-to-Integer) * fmv* to access high bits of float register bigger than XLEN * Quiet comparison instructions (fleq/fltq) Zfa defines its instructions in combination with the following extensions: * single-precision floating-point (F) * double-precision floating-point (D) * quad-precision floating-point (Q) * half-precision floating-point (Zfh) Since QEMU does not support the RISC-V quad-precision floating-point ISA extension (Q), this patch does not include the instructions that depend on this extension. All other instructions are included in this patch. The Zfa specification can be found here: https://github.com/riscv/riscv-isa-manual/blob/master/src/zfa.tex The Zfa specifciation is frozen and is in public review since May 3, 2023: https://groups.google.com/a/groups.riscv.org/g/isa-dev/c/SED4ntBkabg The patch also includes a TCG test for the fcvtmod.w.d instruction. The test cases test for correct results and flag behaviour. Note, that the Zfa specification requires fcvtmod's flag behaviour to be identical to a fcvt with the same operands (which is also tested). 2023-03-05target/riscv: implement Zicbom extensionChristoph Muellner
Zicbom is the Cache-Block Management extension defined in the already ratified RISC-V Base Cache Management Operation (CBO) ISA extension [1]. The extension contains three instructions: cbo.clean, cbo.flush and cbo.inval. All of them must be implemented in the same group as LQ and cbo.zero due to overlapping patterns. All these instructions can throw a Illegal Instruction/Virtual Instruction exception, similar to the existing cbo.zero. The same check_zicbo_envcfg() is used to handle these exceptions. Aside from that, these instructions also need to handle page faults and guest page faults. This is done in a new check_zicbom_access() helper. As with Zicboz, the cache block size for Zicbom is also configurable. Note that the spec determines that Zicbo[mp] and Zicboz can have different cache sizes (Section 2.7 of [1]), so we also include a 'cbom_blocksize' to go along with the existing 'cboz_blocksize'. They are set to the same size, so unless users want to play around with the settings both sizes will be the same. 2023-03-05target/riscv: implement Zicboz extensionChristoph Muellner
The RISC-V base cache management operation (CBO) ISA extension has been ratified. It defines three extensions: Cache-Block Management, Cache-Block Prefetch and Cache-Block Zero. More information about the spec can be found at [1]. Let's start by implementing the Cache-Block Zero extension, Zicboz. It uses the cbo.zero instruction that, as with all CBO instructions that will be added later, needs to be implemented in an overlap group with the LQ instruction due to overlapping patterns. cbo.zero throws a Illegal Instruction/Virtual Instruction exception depending on CSR state. This is also the case for the remaining cbo instructions we're going to add next, so create a check_zicbo_envcfg() that will be used by all Zicbo[mz] instructions. 2023-01-06RISC-V: Add Zawrs ISA extension supportChristoph Muellner
This patch adds support for the Zawrs ISA extension. Given the current (incomplete) implementation of reservation sets there seems to be no way to provide a full emulation of the WRS instruction (wake on reservation set invalidation or timeout or interrupt). Therefore, we just exit the TB and return to the main loop. The specification can be found here: https://github.com/riscv/riscv-zawrs/blob/main/zawrs.adoc Note, that the Zawrs extension is frozen, but not ratified yet. Changes since v3: * Remove "RFC" since the extension is frozen * Rebase on master and fix integration issues * Fix entry ordering in extension list Changes since v2: * Rebase on master and resolve conflicts * Adjustments according to a specification change * Inline REQUIRE_ZAWRS() since it has only one user Changes since v1: * Adding zawrs to the ISA string that is passed to the kernel Signed-off-by: Christoph Müllner <christoph.muellner@vrull.eu> Reviewed-by: Alistair Francis <alistair.francis@wdc.com> Message-Id: <20221005144948.3421504-1-christoph.muellner@vrull.eu> Signed-off-by: Alistair Francis <alistair.francis@wdc.com>

2022-01-08target/riscv: support for 128-bit M extensionFrédéric Pétrot
Mult are generated inline (using a cool trick pointed out by Richard), but for div and rem, given the complexity of the implementation of these instructions, we call helpers to produce their behavior. From an implementation standpoint, the helpers return the low part of the results, while the high part is temporarily stored in a dedicated field of cpu_env that is used to update the architectural register in the generation wrapper. 2022-01-08target/riscv: accessors to registers upper part and 128-bit load/storeFrédéric Pétrot
Get function to retrieve the 64 top bits of a register, stored in the gprh field of the cpu state. Set function that writes the 128-bit value at once. The access to the gprh field can not be protected at compile time to make sure it is accessed only in the 128-bit version of the processor because we have no way to indicate that the misa_mxl_max field is const. The 128-bit ISA adds ldu, lq and sq. We provide support for these instructions. Note that (a) we compute only 64-bit addresses to actually access memory, cowardly utilizing the existing address translation mechanism of QEMU, and (b) we assume for now little-endian memory accesses.
