2019-06-10target/microblaze: Use env_cpu, env_archcpuRichard Henderson
Cleanup in the boilerplate that each target must define. Replace mb_env_get_cpu with env_archcpu. The combination CPU(mb_env_get_cpu) should have used ENV_GET_CPU to begin; use env_cpu now. Move cpu_mmu_index below the include of "exec/cpu-all.h", so that the definition of env_archcpu is available. 2019-06-10tcg: Split out target/arch/cpu-param.hRichard Henderson
For all targets, into this new file move TARGET_LONG_BITS, TARGET_PAGE_BITS, TARGET_PHYS_ADDR_SPACE_BITS, TARGET_VIRT_ADDR_SPACE_BITS, and NB_MMU_MODES. Include this new file from exec/cpu-defs.h. This now removes the somewhat odd requirement that target/arch/cpu.h defines TARGET_LONG_BITS before including exec/cpu-defs.h, so push the bulk of the includes within target/arch/cpu.h to the top. 2019-04-18qom/cpu: Simplify how CPUClass:cpu_dump_state() printsMarkus Armbruster
CPUClass method dump_statistics() takes an fprintf()-like callback and a FILE * to pass to it. Most callers pass fprintf() and stderr. log_cpu_state() passes fprintf() and qemu_log_file. hmp_info_registers() passes monitor_fprintf() and the current monitor cast to FILE *. monitor_fprintf() casts it right back, and is otherwise identical to monitor_printf(). The callback gets passed around a lot, which is tiresome. The type-punning around monitor_fprintf() is ugly. Drop the callback, and call qemu_fprintf() instead. Also gets rid of the type-punning, since qemu_fprintf() takes NULL instead of the current monitor cast to FILE *. 2019-01-22target/microblaze: Switch to transaction_failed hookPeter Maydell
Switch the microblaze target from the old unassigned_access hook to the transaction_failed hook. The notable difference is that rather than it being called for all physical memory accesses which fail (including those made by DMA devices or by the gdbstub), it is only called for those made by the CPU via its MMU. For microblaze this makes no difference because none of the target CPU code needs to make loads or stores by physical address. 2018-02-21target/*/cpu.h: remove softfloat.hAlex Bennée
As cpu.h is another typically widely included file which doesn't need full access to the softfloat API we can remove the includes from here as well. Where they do need types it's typically for float_status and the rounding modes so we move that to softfloat-types.h as well. As a result of not having softfloat in every cpu.h call we now need to add it to various helpers that do need the full softfloat.h definitions. 2018-01-25accel/tcg: add size paremeter in tlb_fill()Laurent Vivier
The MC68040 MMU provides the size of the access that triggers the page fault. This size is set in the Special Status Word which is written in the stack frame of the access fault exception. So we need the size in m68k_cpu_unassigned_access() and m68k_cpu_handle_mmu_fault(). To be able to do that, this patch modifies the prototype of handle_mmu_fault handler, tlb_fill() and probe_write(). do_unassigned_access() already includes a size parameter. This patch also updates handle_mmu_fault handlers and tlb_fill() of all targets (only parameter, no code change). 2017-01-13qom/cpu: move tlb_flush to cpu_common_resetAlex Bennée
It is a common thing amongst the various cpu reset functions want to flush the SoftMMU's TLB entries. This is done either by calling tlb_flush directly or by way of a general memset of the CPU structure (sometimes both). This moves the tlb_flush call to the common reset function and additionally ensures it is only done for the CONFIG_SOFTMMU case and when tcg is enabled. In some target cases we add an empty end_of_reset_fields structure to the target vCPU structure so have a clear end point for any memset which is resetting value in the structure before CPU_COMMON (where the TLB structures are). While this is a nice clean-up in general it is also a precursor for changes coming to cputlb for MTTCG where the clearing of entries can't be done arbitrarily across vCPUs. Currently the cpu_reset function is usually called from the context of another vCPU as the architectural power up sequence is run. By using the cputlb API functions we can ensure the right behaviour in the future. 2016-12-20Move target-* CPU file into a target/ folderThomas Huth
We've currently got 18 architectures in QEMU, and thus 18 target-xxx folders in the root folder of the QEMU source tree. More architectures (e.g. RISC-V, AVR) are likely to be included soon, too, so the main folder of the QEMU sources slowly gets quite overcrowded with the target-xxx folders. To disburden the main folder a little bit, let's move the target-xxx folders into a dedicated target/ folder, so that target-xxx/ simply becomes target/xxx/ instead.
