2019-01-22target/microblaze: Switch to transaction_failed hookPeter Maydell
Switch the microblaze target from the old unassigned_access hook to the transaction_failed hook. The notable difference is that rather than it being called for all physical memory accesses which fail (including those made by DMA devices or by the gdbstub), it is only called for those made by the CPU via its MMU. For microblaze this makes no difference because none of the target CPU code needs to make loads or stores by physical address. 2018-05-29target-microblaze: Add Extended AddressingEdgar E. Iglesias
Add support for Extended Addressing. Load/stores with EA enabled concatenate two 32bit registers to form an extended address. We don't allow users to enable address sizes larger than 32 bits quite yet though. Once the MMU support is in, we'll turn it on. 2018-05-29target-microblaze: Fallback to our latest CPU versionEdgar E. Iglesias
Today, when running QEMU in linux-user or with boards that don't select a specific CPU version, we treat it as an invalid version and log a message. Instead, if no specific version was selected, fallback to our latest CPU version. Reviewed-by: Alistair Francis <alistair.francis@wdc.com> Signed-off-by: Edgar E. Iglesias <edgar.iglesias@xilinx.com>
2018-02-21target/*/cpu.h: remove softfloat.hAlex Bennée
As cpu.h is another typically widely included file which doesn't need full access to the softfloat API we can remove the includes from here as well. Where they do need types it's typically for float_status and the rounding modes so we move that to softfloat-types.h as well. As a result of not having softfloat in every cpu.h call we now need to add it to various helpers that do need the full softfloat.h definitions. 2017-01-13qom/cpu: move tlb_flush to cpu_common_resetAlex Bennée
It is a common thing amongst the various cpu reset functions want to flush the SoftMMU's TLB entries. This is done either by calling tlb_flush directly or by way of a general memset of the CPU structure (sometimes both). This moves the tlb_flush call to the common reset function and additionally ensures it is only done for the CONFIG_SOFTMMU case and when tcg is enabled. In some target cases we add an empty end_of_reset_fields structure to the target vCPU structure so have a clear end point for any memset which is resetting value in the structure before CPU_COMMON (where the TLB structures are). While this is a nice clean-up in general it is also a precursor for changes coming to cputlb for MTTCG where the clearing of entries can't be done arbitrarily across vCPUs. Currently the cpu_reset function is usually called from the context of another vCPU as the architectural power up sequence is run. By using the cputlb API functions we can ensure the right behaviour in the future. 2016-12-20Move target-* CPU file into a target/ folderThomas Huth
We've currently got 18 architectures in QEMU, and thus 18 target-xxx folders in the root folder of the QEMU source tree. More architectures (e.g. RISC-V, AVR) are likely to be included soon, too, so the main folder of the QEMU sources slowly gets quite overcrowded with the target-xxx folders. To disburden the main folder a little bit, let's move the target-xxx folders into a dedicated target/ folder, so that target-xxx/ simply becomes target/xxx/ instead.
