2023-06-28accel: Rename HAX 'struct hax_vcpu_state' -> AccelCPUStatePhilippe Mathieu-Daudé
We want all accelerators to share the same opaque pointer in CPUState. Start with the HAX context, renaming its forward declarated structure 'hax_vcpu_state' as 'AccelCPUState'. Document the CPUState field. Directly use the typedef. Remove the amusing but now unnecessary casts in NVMM / WHPX. We use the user_ss[] array to hold the user emulation sources, and the softmmu_ss[] array to hold the system emulation ones. Hold the latter in the 'system_ss[]' array for parity with user emulation. Replace the global variables with inlined helper functions. getpagesize() is very likely annotated with a "const" function attribute (at least with glibc), and thus optimization should apply even better. This avoids the need for a constructor initialization too. 2022-03-21Use g_new() & friends where that makes obvious senseMarkus Armbruster
g_new(T, n) is neater than g_malloc(sizeof(T) * n). It's also safer, for two reasons. One, it catches multiplication overflowing size_t. Two, it returns T * rather than void *, which lets the compiler catch more type errors. This commit only touches allocations with size arguments of the form sizeof(T). Ram block notifiers are currently not aware of resizes. To properly handle resizes during migration, we want to teach ram block notifiers about resizeable ram. Introduce the basic infrastructure but keep using max_size in the existing notifiers. Supply the max_size when adding and removing ram blocks. Also, notify on resizes. 2021-02-05accel: replace struct CpusAccel with AccelOpsClassClaudio Fontana
This will allow us to centralize the registration of the cpus.c module accelerator operations (in accel/accel-softmmu.c), and trigger it automatically using object hierarchy lookup from the new accel_init_interfaces() initialization step, depending just on which accelerators are available in the code. Rename all tcg-cpus.c, kvm-cpus.c, etc to tcg-accel-ops.c, kvm-accel-ops.c, etc, matching the object type names.
