2016-06-09cpu-exec: Rename cpu_resume_from_signal() to cpu_loop_exit_noexc()Peter Maydell
The function cpu_resume_from_signal() is now always called with a NULL puc argument, and is rather misnamed since it is never called from a signal handler. It is essentially forcing an exit to the top level cpu loop but without raising any exception, so rename it to cpu_loop_exit_noexc() and drop the useless unused argument. 2016-05-19cpu: move exec-all.h inclusion out of cpu.hPaolo Bonzini
exec-all.h contains TCG-specific definitions. It is not needed outside TCG-specific files such as translate.c, exec.c or *helper.c. One generic function had snuck into include/exec/exec-all.h; move it to include/qom/cpu.h. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>

2015-09-11maint: remove / fix many doubled wordsDaniel P. Berrange
Many source files have doubled words (eg "the the", "to to", and so on). Most of these can simply be removed, but a couple were actual mis-spellings (eg "to to" instead of "to do"). There was even one triple word score "to to to" :-) Signed-off-by: Daniel P. 2015-06-19semihosting: create SemihostingConfig structure and semihost.hLeon Alrae
Remove semihosting_enabled and semihosting_target and replace them with SemihostingConfig structure containing equivalent fields. The structure is defined in vl.c where it is actually set. Also introduce separate header file include/exec/semihost.h allowing to access semihosting config related stuff from target specific semihosting code. 2014-03-13cpu: Move breakpoints field from CPU_COMMON to CPUStateAndreas Färber
Most targets were using offsetof(CPUFooState, breakpoints) to determine how much of CPUFooState to clear on reset. Use the next field after CPU_COMMON instead, if any, or sizeof(CPUFooState) otherwise. Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de>

2013-07-09log: Change log_cpu_state[_mask]() argument to CPUStateAndreas Färber
Since commit 878096eeb278a8ac1ccd6667af73e026f29b4cf5 (cpu: Turn cpu_dump_{state,statistics}() into CPUState hooks) CPUArchState is no longer needed. Add documentation and make the functions available through qemu/log.h outside NEED_CPU_H to allow use in qom/cpu.c. Moving them to qom/cpu.h was not yet possible due to convoluted include paths, so that some devices grow an implicit and unneeded dependency on qom/cpu.h for now. 2013-03-18target-lm32: fix debug memory accessMichael Walle
CPU models which have the LM32_FLAG_IGNORE_MSB flag set will shadow the lower 2GB to the upper 2GB memory space. This will fix the debug memory access used by qemu console and GDB to match this behaviour. Signed-off-by: Michael Walle <michael@walle.cc>
2013-03-12cpu: Replace do_interrupt() by CPUClass::do_interrupt methodAndreas Färber

2012-10-23Rename target_phys_addr_t to hwaddrAvi Kivity
target_phys_addr_t is unwieldly, violates the C standard (_t suffixes are reserved) and its purpose doesn't match the name (most target_phys_addr_t addresses are not target specific). Replace it with a finger-friendly, standards conformant hwaddr. Outstanding patchsets can be fixed up with the command git rebase -i --exec 'find -name "*.[ch]" | xargs s/target_phys_addr_t/hwaddr/g' origin Signed-off-by: Avi Kivity <avi@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
2012-06-04Kill off cpu_state_reset()Andreas Färber
In commit 1bba0dc932e8826a7d030df3767daf0bc339f9a2 cpu_reset() was renamed to cpu_state_reset(), to allow introducing a new cpu_reset() that would operate on QOM objects. All callers have been updated except for one in target-mips, so drop all implementations except for the one in target-mips and move the declaration there until MIPSCPU reset can be fully QOM'ified.
