2016-12-20Move target-* CPU file into a target/ folderThomas Huth
We've currently got 18 architectures in QEMU, and thus 18 target-xxx folders in the root folder of the QEMU source tree. More architectures (e.g. RISC-V, AVR) are likely to be included soon, too, so the main folder of the QEMU sources slowly gets quite overcrowded with the target-xxx folders. To disburden the main folder a little bit, let's move the target-xxx folders into a dedicated target/ folder, so that target-xxx/ simply becomes target/xxx/ instead. 2016-09-19target-i386: Use struct X86XSaveArea in fpu_helper.cRichard Henderson
This avoids a double hand-full of magic numbers in the xsave and xrstor helper functions. Signed-off-by: Richard Henderson <rth@twiddle.net> Signed-off-by: Eduardo Habkost <ehabkost@redhat.com>
2016-06-20coccinelle: Remove unnecessary variables for function return valueEduardo Habkost
Use Coccinelle script to replace 'ret = E; return ret' with 'return E'. The script will do the substitution only when the function return type and variable type are the same. Manual fixups: * audio/audio.c: coding style of "read (...)" and "write (...)" * block/qcow2-cluster.c: wrap line to make it shorter * block/qcow2-refcount.c: change indentation of wrapped line * target-tricore/op_helper.c: fix coding style of "remainder|quotient" * target-mips/dsp_helper.c: reverted changes because I don't want to argue about checkpatch.pl * ui/qemu-pixman.c: fix line indentation * block/rbd.c: restore blank line between declarations and statements Reviewed-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Eduardo Habkost <ehabkost@redhat.com> Message-Id: <1465855078-19435-4-git-send-email-ehabkost@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Markus Armbruster <armbru@redhat.com> [Unused Coccinelle rule name dropped along with a redundant comment; whitespace touched up in block/qcow2-cluster.c; stale commit message paragraph deleted] Signed-off-by: Markus Armbruster <armbru@redhat.com>
2016-05-19cpu: move exec-all.h inclusion out of cpu.hPaolo Bonzini
exec-all.h contains TCG-specific definitions. It is not needed outside TCG-specific files such as translate.c, exec.c or *helper.c. One generic function had snuck into include/exec/exec-all.h; move it to include/qom/cpu.h. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>

2016-02-25target-i386: fix confusion in xcr0 bit position vs. maskPaolo Bonzini
The xsave and xrstor helpers are accessing the x86_ext_save_areas array using a bit mask instead of a bit position. Provide two sets of XSTATE_* definitions and use XSTATE_*_BIT when a bit position is requested. 2016-01-21target-i386: Rename XMM_[BWLSDQ] helpers to ZMM_*Eduardo Habkost
They are helpers for the ZMMReg fields, so name them accordingly. This is just a global search+replace, no other changes are being introduced. Signed-off-by: Eduardo Habkost <ehabkost@redhat.com>

2014-09-18target-i386: update fp status fixPavel Dovgalyuk
This patch introduces cpu_set_fpuc() function, which changes fpuc field of the CPU state and calls update_fp_status() function. These calls update status of softfloat library and prevent bugs caused by non-coherent rounding settings of the FPU and softfloat. v2 changes: * Added missed calls and intoduced setter function (as suggested by TeLeMan) Reviewed-by: TeLeMan <geleman@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Pavel Dovgalyuk <Pavel.Dovgaluk@ispras.ru>
2014-06-05softmmu: introduce cpu_ldst.hPaolo Bonzini
This will collect all load and store helpers soon. For now it is just a replacement for softmmu_exec.h, which this patch stops including directly, but we also include it where this will be necessary in order to simplify the next patch.
