2024-06-09xen: mapcache: Add support for grant mappingsEdgar E. Iglesias
Add a second mapcache for grant mappings. The mapcache for grants needs to work with XC_PAGE_SIZE granularity since we can't map larger ranges than what has been granted to us. Like with foreign mappings (xen_memory), machines using grants are expected to initialize the xen_grants MR and map it into their address-map accordingly. 2024-06-04xen: Add xen_mr_is_memory()Edgar E. Iglesias
Add xen_mr_is_memory() to abstract away tests for the xen_memory MR. No functional changes. Signed-off-by: Edgar E. 2024-04-26exec: Rename NEED_CPU_H -> COMPILING_PER_TARGETPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé
'NEED_CPU_H' guard target-specific code; it is defined by meson altogether with the 'CONFIG_TARGET' definition. Rename NEED_CPU_H as COMPILING_PER_TARGET to clarify its meaning. Mechanical change running: $ sed -i s/NEED_CPU_H/COMPILING_PER_TARGET/g $(git grep -l NEED_CPU_H) then manually add a /* COMPILING_PER_TARGET */ comment after the '#endif' when the block is large. 2024-03-09sysemu/xen: Forbid using Xen headers in user emulationPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé
Xen is a system specific accelerator, it makes no sense to include its headers in user emulation. 2023-06-28accel: Document generic accelerator headersPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé
These headers are meant to be include by any file to check the availability of accelerators, thus are not accelerator specific. Signed-off-by: Philippe Mathieu-Daudé <philmd@linaro.org> Acked-by: Richard Henderson <richard.henderson@linaro.org> Message-Id: <20230624174121.11508-3-philmd@linaro.org>
2020-09-30sysemu/xen: Add missing 'exec/cpu-common.h' header for ram_addr_t typePhilippe Mathieu-Daudé
As this header use the ram_addr_t type, it has to include "exec/cpu-common.h" to avoid odd errors such: include/sysemu/xen.h:35:44: error: unknown type name 'ram_addr_t'; did you mean 'in_addr_t'? 35 | static inline void xen_hvm_modified_memory(ram_addr_t start, ram_addr_t length) | ^~~~~~~~~~ | in_addr_t Signed-off-by: Philippe Mathieu-Daudé <philmd@redhat.com> Message-Id: <20200908155530.249806-4-philmd@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>
2020-08-04accel/xen: Fix xen_enabled() behavior on target-agnostic objectsPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé
CONFIG_XEN is generated by configure and stored in "config-target.h", which is (obviously) only include for target-specific objects. This is a problem for target-agnostic objects as CONFIG_XEN is never defined and xen_enabled() is always inlined as 'false'. Fix by following the KVM schema, defining CONFIG_XEN_IS_POSSIBLE when we don't know to force the call of the non-inlined function, returning the xen_allowed boolean.
