ISADeviceClass is an empty class and just increase code complexity. Remove it, directly embedding DeviceClass in classes expanding TYPE_ISA_DEVICE. Some typedefs and macros are defined after the type check macros. This makes it difficult to automatically replace their definitions with OBJECT_DECLARE_TYPE. Patch generated using: $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i \ --pattern=QOMStructTypedefSplit $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]') which will split "typdef struct { ... } TypedefName" declarations. Followed by: $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i --pattern=MoveSymbols \ $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]') which will: - move the typedefs and #defines above the type check macros - add missing #include "qom/object.h" lines if necessary Reviewed-by: Daniel P. 2018-04-26superio: Don't use MAX_SERIAL_PORTS for serial port limitPeter Maydell
The superio device has a limit on the number of serial ports it supports which is really only there because it has a fixed-size array serial[]. This limit isn't related particularly to the global MAX_SERIAL_PORTS limit, so use a different #define for it. (In practice the users of superio only ever want 2 serial ports.)
