2012-10-27hw/xtensa_lx60: don't prematurely explode QEMUMachineInitArgsMax Filippov
Don't explode QEMUMachineInitArgs before passing it to lx_init. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Blue Swirl <blauwirbel@gmail.com>
2012-10-23Rename target_phys_addr_t to hwaddrAvi Kivity
target_phys_addr_t is unwieldly, violates the C standard (_t suffixes are reserved) and its purpose doesn't match the name (most target_phys_addr_t addresses are not target specific). Replace it with a finger-friendly, standards conformant hwaddr. Outstanding patchsets can be fixed up with the command git rebase -i --exec 'find -name "*.[ch]" | xargs s/target_phys_addr_t/hwaddr/g' origin Signed-off-by: Avi Kivity <avi@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
2012-10-22serial: split serial.cGerd Hoffmann
Split serial.c into serial.c, serial.h and serial-isa.c. While being at creating a serial.h header file move the serial prototypes from pc.h to the new serial.h. The latter leads to s/pc.h/serial.h/ in tons of boards which just want the serial bits from pc.h Signed-off-by: Gerd Hoffmann <kraxel@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
2012-10-20create struct for machine initialization argumentsEduardo Habkost
This should help us to: - More easily add or remove machine initialization arguments without having to change every single machine init function; - More easily make mechanical changes involving the machine init functions in the future; - Let machine initialization forward the init arguments to other functions more easily. This change was half-mechanical process: first the struct was added with the local ram_size, boot_device, kernel_*, initrd_*, and cpu_model local variable initialization to all functions. Then the compiler helped me locate the local variables that are unused, so they could be removed. Signed-off-by: Blue Swirl <blauwirbel@gmail.com>
2012-08-09target-xtensa: make default CPU depend on target endiannessMax Filippov
This makes usable default for -cpu option both for qemu-system-xtensa and qemu-system-xtensaeb fixing the following error: $ qemu-system-xtensaeb -M sim Unable to find CPU definition Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com> Tested-by: Markus Armbruster <armbru@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Blue Swirl <blauwirbel@gmail.com>
2012-08-01net: Remove VLANStateStefan Hajnoczi
VLANState is no longer used and can be removed. Signed-off-by: Stefan Hajnoczi <stefanha@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Zhi Yong Wu <wuzhy@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Reviewed-by: Laszlo Ersek <lersek@redhat.com>
2012-06-15xtensa_lx60: add missing #include "blockdev.h"Max Filippov
This should fix the following build failure: /home/buildbot/slave-public/block_mingw32/build/hw/xtensa_lx60.c: In function 'lx_init': /home/buildbot/slave-public/block_mingw32/build/hw/xtensa_lx60.c:212: warning: implicit declaration of function 'drive_get' /home/buildbot/slave-public/block_mingw32/build/hw/xtensa_lx60.c:212: warning: nested extern declaration of 'drive_get' /home/buildbot/slave-public/block_mingw32/build/hw/xtensa_lx60.c:212: error: 'IF_PFLASH' undeclared (first use in this function) /home/buildbot/slave-public/block_mingw32/build/hw/xtensa_lx60.c:212: error: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once /home/buildbot/slave-public/block_mingw32/build/hw/xtensa_lx60.c:212: error: for each function it appears in.) /home/buildbot/slave-public/block_mingw32/build/hw/xtensa_lx60.c:216: error: dereferencing pointer to incomplete type Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>

2012-03-14Rename cpu_reset() to cpu_state_reset()Andreas Färber
Frees the identifier cpu_reset for QOM CPUs (manual rename). Don't hide the parameter type behind explicit casts, use static functions with strongly typed argument to indirect. Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de> Reviewed-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
2012-01-04vmstate, memory: decouple vmstate from memory APIAvi Kivity
Currently creating a memory region automatically registers it for live migration. This differs from other state (which is enumerated in a VMStateDescription structure) and ties the live migration code into the memory core. Decouple the two by introducing a separate API, vmstate_register_ram(), for registering a RAM block for migration. Currently the same implementation is reused, but later it can be moved into a separate list, and registrations can be moved to VMStateDescription blocks. Signed-off-by: Avi Kivity <avi@redhat.com>

2011-11-02xtensa_lx60: pass kernel arguments from -appendMax Filippov
Create boot parameters in the end of SRAM region, insert kernel arguments specified in -append there. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
2011-11-02xtensa_lx60: add FLASH supportMax Filippov
LX60 carry 4 Mbyte FLASH and 128 Kbyte SRAM, LX200 carry 16 Mbyte FLASH and 32 Mbyte SRAM. Either of these memories may be mapped to the system ROM region. Select boot from FLASH if -kernel option is not specified, otherwise boot from SRAM. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
2011-10-16target-xtensa: add Avnet LX60/LX110/LX200 boardsMax Filippov
These boards carry similar hardware: SDRAM (48M for LX110, 64M for LX60, 96M for LX200), 16 Mbyte FLASH, FPGA, 10/100 Mbps Ethernet PHY and 16550 UART. FPGA may be loaded with almost any Tensilica processor. It is also used to implement Ethernet MAC, e.g. OpenCores 10/100 Mbps Ethernet MAC and LED/DIP switches access.
