2015-03-07target-xtensa: xtfpga: fix ml605 flash sizeMax Filippov
ML605 daughterboard has 16MB flash, not 32MB. Change board definition accordingly. Cc: qemu-stable@nongnu.org Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
2015-03-07hw/xtensa: allow reads/writes in the system I/O regionMax Filippov
Ignore writes to unassigned areas of system I/O regison and return 0 for reads. This makes drivers for unimportant unimplemented hardware blocks happy. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
2014-11-03hw/xtensa/xtfpga: treat uImage load address as virtualMax Filippov
U-boot for xtensa always treats uImage load address as virtual address. This is important when booting uImage on xtensa core with MMUv2, because MMUv2 has fixed non-identity virtual-to-physical mapping after reset. Always do virtual-to-physical translation of uImage load address and load uImage at the translated address. This fixes booting uImage kernels on dc232b and other MMUv2 cores. 2014-11-03hw/core/loader: implement address translation in uimage loaderMax Filippov
Such address translation is needed when load address recorded in uImage is a virtual address. When the actual load address is requested, return untranslated address: user that needs the translated address can always apply translation function to it and those that need it untranslated don't need to do the inverse translation. Add translation function pointer and its parameter to uimage_load prototype. Update all existing users. No user-visible functional changes. 2014-10-20hw: Convert from BlockDriverState to BlockBackend, mostlyMarkus Armbruster
Device models should access their block backends only through the block-backend.h API. Convert them, and drop direct includes of inappropriate headers. Just four uses of BlockDriverState are left: * The Xen paravirtual block device backend (xen_disk.c) opens images itself when set up via xenbus, bypassing blockdev.c. I figure it should go through qmp_blockdev_add() instead. * Device model "usb-storage" prompts for keys. No other device model does, and this one probably shouldn't do it, either. * ide_issue_trim_cb() uses bdrv_aio_discard() instead of blk_aio_discard() because it fishes its backend out of a BlockAIOCB, which has only the BlockDriverState. * PC87312State has an unused BlockDriverState[] member. The next two commits take care of the latter two. Signed-off-by: Markus Armbruster <armbru@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Max Reitz <mreitz@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Kevin Wolf <kwolf@redhat.com>
2014-10-20block: Eliminate DriveInfo member bdrv, use blk_by_legacy_dinfo()Markus Armbruster
The patch is big, but all it really does is replacing dinfo->bdrv by blk_bs(blk_by_legacy_dinfo(dinfo)) The replacement is repetitive, but the conversion of device models to BlockBackend is imminent, and will shorten it to just blk_legacy_dinfo(dinfo). Line wrapping muddies the waters a bit. I also omit tests whether dinfo->bdrv is null, because it never is. 2014-06-29hw/xtensa/xtfpga: implement uImage loadingMax Filippov
Provide a simple bootloader code at the reset address that jumps to the loaded image entry point when it's not equal to the reset address. This is needed because the old method of setting pc doesn't work due to cpu reset done after the machine setup. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
