2021-01-08exynos4210_pwm: Use ptimer_free() in the finalize function to avoid memleaksGan Qixin
When running device-introspect-test, a memory leak occurred in the exynos4210_pwm_init function, so use ptimer_free() in the finalize function to avoid it. ASAN shows memory leak stack: Indirect leak of 240 byte(s) in 5 object(s) allocated from: #0 0xffffab97e1f0 in __interceptor_calloc (/lib64/libasan.so.5+0xee1f0) #1 0xffffab256800 in g_malloc0 (/lib64/libglib-2.0.so.0+0x56800) #2 0xaaabf555db84 in timer_new_full /qemu/include/qemu/timer.h:523 #3 0xaaabf555db84 in timer_new /qemu/include/qemu/timer.h:544 #4 0xaaabf555db84 in timer_new_ns /qemu/include/qemu/timer.h:562 #5 0xaaabf555db84 in ptimer_init /qemu/hw/core/ptimer.c:433 #6 0xaaabf56a36cc in exynos4210_pwm_init /qemu/hw/timer/exynos4210_pwm.c:401 #7 0xaaabf6339f6c in object_initialize_with_type /qemu/qom/object.c:515 #8 0xaaabf633a1e0 in object_new_with_type /qemu/qom/object.c:729 #9 0xaaabf6375e40 in qmp_device_list_properties /qemu/qom/qom-qmp-cmds.c:153 #10 0xaaabf653d8ec in qmp_marshal_device_list_properties /qemu/qapi/qapi-commands-qdev.c:59 #11 0xaaabf6587d08 in do_qmp_dispatch_bh /qemu/qapi/qmp-dispatch.c:110 #12 0xaaabf6552708 in aio_bh_call /qemu/util/async.c:136 Reported-by: Euler Robot <euler.robot@huawei.com> Signed-off-by: Gan Qixin <ganqixin@huawei.com> Reviewed-by: Peter Maydell <peter.maydell@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Peter Maydell <peter.maydell@linaro.org>

2020-09-09Move QOM typedefs and add missing includesEduardo Habkost
Some typedefs and macros are defined after the type check macros. This makes it difficult to automatically replace their definitions with OBJECT_DECLARE_TYPE. Patch generated using: $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i \ --pattern=QOMStructTypedefSplit $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]') which will split "typdef struct { ... } TypedefName" declarations. Followed by: $ ./scripts/codeconverter/converter.py -i --pattern=MoveSymbols \ $(git grep -l '' -- '*.[ch]') which will: - move the typedefs and #defines above the type check macros - add missing #include "qom/object.h" lines if necessary Reviewed-by: Daniel P. 2019-10-15hw/timer/exynos4210_pwm.c: Switch to transaction-based ptimer APIPeter Maydell
Switch the exynos4210_pwm code away from bottom-half based ptimers to the new transaction-based ptimer API. This just requires adding begin/commit calls around the various places that modify the ptimer state, and using the new ptimer_init() function to create the timer. 2019-10-15ptimer: Rename ptimer_init() to ptimer_init_with_bh()Peter Maydell
Currently the ptimer design uses a QEMU bottom-half as its mechanism for calling back into the device model using the ptimer when the timer has expired. Unfortunately this design is fatally flawed, because it means that there is a lag between the ptimer updating its own state and the device callback function updating device state, and guest accesses to device registers between the two can return inconsistent device state. We want to replace the bottom-half design with one where the guest device's callback is called either immediately (when the ptimer triggers by timeout) or when the device model code closes a transaction-begin/end section (when the ptimer triggers because the device model changed the ptimer's count value or other state). As the first step, rename ptimer_init() to ptimer_init_with_bh(), to free up the ptimer_init() name for the new API. We can then convert all the ptimer users away from ptimer_init_with_bh() before removing it entirely. (Commit created with git grep -l ptimer_init | xargs sed -i -e 's/ptimer_init/ptimer_init_with_bh/' and three overlong lines folded by hand.) 2019-08-16Include migration/vmstate.h lessMarkus Armbruster
In my "build everything" tree, changing migration/vmstate.h triggers a recompile of some 2700 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h). hw/hw.h supposedly includes it for convenience. Several other headers include it just to get VMStateDescription. The previous commit made that unnecessary. Include migration/vmstate.h only where it's still needed. Touching it now recompiles only some 1600 objects. In my "build everything" tree, changing hw/irq.h triggers a recompile of some 5400 out of 6600 objects (not counting tests and objects that don't depend on qemu/osdep.h). hw/hw.h supposedly includes it for convenience. Several other headers include it just to get qemu_irq and.or qemu_irq_handler. Move the qemu_irq and qemu_irq_handler typedefs from hw/irq.h to qemu/typedefs.h, and then include hw/irq.h only where it's still needed. Touching it now recompiles only some 500 objects. Some of the timer devices may behave differently from what ptimer provides. Introduce ptimer policy feature that allows ptimer users to change default and wrong timer behaviour, for example to continuously trigger periodic timer when load value is equal to "0". 2014-05-13savevm: Remove all the unneeded version_minimum_id_old (arm)Juan Quintela
After commit 767adce2d, they are redundant. This way we don't assign them except when needed. Once there, there were lots of cases where the ".fields" indentation was wrong: .fields = (VMStateField []) { and .fields = (VMStateField []) { Change all the combinations to: .fields = (VMStateField[]){ The biggest problem (apart from aesthetics) was that checkpatch complained when we copy&pasted the code from one place to another.
