2012-10-23Rename target_phys_addr_t to hwaddrAvi Kivity
target_phys_addr_t is unwieldly, violates the C standard (_t suffixes are reserved) and its purpose doesn't match the name (most target_phys_addr_t addresses are not target specific). Replace it with a finger-friendly, standards conformant hwaddr. Outstanding patchsets can be fixed up with the command git rebase -i --exec 'find -name "*.[ch]" | xargs s/target_phys_addr_t/hwaddr/g' origin Signed-off-by: Avi Kivity <avi@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
2012-10-22serial: split serial.cGerd Hoffmann
Split serial.c into serial.c, serial.h and serial-isa.c. While being at creating a serial.h header file move the serial prototypes from pc.h to the new serial.h. The latter leads to s/pc.h/serial.h/ in tons of boards which just want the serial bits from pc.h Signed-off-by: Gerd Hoffmann <kraxel@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
2012-10-20create struct for machine initialization argumentsEduardo Habkost
This should help us to: - More easily add or remove machine initialization arguments without having to change every single machine init function; - More easily make mechanical changes involving the machine init functions in the future; - Let machine initialization forward the init arguments to other functions more easily. This change was half-mechanical process: first the struct was added with the local ram_size, boot_device, kernel_*, initrd_*, and cpu_model local variable initialization to all functions. Then the compiler helped me locate the local variables that are unused, so they could be removed. Signed-off-by: Blue Swirl <blauwirbel@gmail.com>
2012-10-10petalogix-ml605: added SPI controller with n25q128Peter A. G. Crosthwaite
Added SPI controller to the reference design, with two n25q128 spi-flashes connected. Signed-off-by: Peter A. G. Crosthwaite <peter.crosthwaite@petalogix.com> Acked-by: Peter Maydell <peter.maydell@linaro.org>
2012-08-13xilinx_axi*: Re-implemented interconnectPeter A. G. Crosthwaite
Re-implemented the interconnect between the Xilinx AXI ethernet and DMA controllers. A QOM interface "stream" is created, for the two stream interfaces. As per Edgars request, this is designed to be more generic than AXI-stream, so in the future we may see more clients of this interface beyond AXI stream. This is based primarily on Paolos original refactoring of the interconnect. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Peter A.G. 2012-06-15xilinx_timer: changed nr_timers to one_timer_onlyPeter A. G. Crosthwaite
The configurable property for this IP in the Xilinx tools is a boolean switch "one-timer-only" that flicks this timer from being dual channel to single. Updated QEMU to work the same way for better match with the IP core and its TRM. Signed-off-by: Peter A. G. Crosthwaite <peter.crosthwaite@petalogix.com> Signed-off-by: Edgar E. 2012-06-04microblaze_boot: Pass MicroBlazeCPU to microblaze_load_kernel()Andreas Färber
Allows us to use cpu_reset() in place of cpu_state_reset() in main_cpu_reset(). Also pass it through to its reset callbacks, while at it. Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de> Acked-by: Edgar E. Iglesias <edgar.iglesias@gmail.com>
2012-06-04petalogix_ml605: Use cpu_mb_init() to obtain MicroBlazeCPUAndreas Färber
Needed for microblaze_load_kernel(). Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de> Acked-by: Edgar E. Iglesias <edgar.iglesias@gmail.com>
2012-03-14microblaze hw/: Don't use CPUStateAndreas Färber
Scripted conversion: for file in hw/microblaze_*.[hc] hw/petalogix_ml605_mmu.c hw/petalogix_s3adsp1800_mmu.c; do sed -i "s/CPUState/CPUMBState/g" $file done Signed-off-by: Andreas Färber <afaerber@suse.de> Acked-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
2012-03-05microblaze: factored out common boot codePeter A. G. Crosthwaite
factored out the copy-pasted common boot code from the two microblaze platforms into a dedicated microblaze bootloader (microblaze_boot.o). Signed-off-by: Peter A. G. Crosthwaite <peter.crosthwaite@petalogix.com> Signed-off-by: Edgar E. Iglesias <edgar.iglesias@gmail.com>
2012-01-04vmstate, memory: decouple vmstate from memory APIAvi Kivity
Currently creating a memory region automatically registers it for live migration. This differs from other state (which is enumerated in a VMStateDescription structure) and ties the live migration code into the memory core. Decouple the two by introducing a separate API, vmstate_register_ram(), for registering a RAM block for migration. Currently the same implementation is reused, but later it can be moved into a separate list, and registrations can be moved to VMStateDescription blocks. Signed-off-by: Avi Kivity <avi@redhat.com>

2011-10-02serial: Add MemoryRegion parameter to serial_mm_initRichard Henderson
Remove the get_system_memory() call from serial_mm_init, pushing it back into the callers. In many cases we already have the system memory region available. Signed-off-by: Richard Henderson <rth@twiddle.net> Signed-off-by: Avi Kivity <avi@redhat.com>
2011-10-02serial: Remove ioregister parameter from serial_mm_initRichard Henderson

2011-10-02serial: Use enum device_endian in serial_mm_init parameterRichard Henderson
The use of DEVICE_NATIVE_ENDIAN cleans up lots of ifdefs in many of the callers. Signed-off-by: Richard Henderson <rth@twiddle.net> Signed-off-by: Avi Kivity <avi@redhat.com>
2011-09-04pflash_cfi01/pflash_cfi02: convert to memory APIAvi Kivity
cfi02 is annoying in that is ignores some address bits; we probably want explicit support in the memory API for that. In order to get the correct opaque into the MemoryRegion object, the allocation scheme is changed so that the flash emulation code allocates memory, instead of the caller. This clears a FIXME in the flash code. Signed-off-by: Avi Kivity <avi@redhat.com>
2011-08-25Revert "Merge remote-tracking branch 'qemu-kvm/memory/batch' into staging"Anthony Liguori
This reverts commit 8ef9ea85a2cc1007eaefa53e6871f1f83bcef22d, reversing changes made to 444dc48298c480e42e15a8fe676be737d8a6b2a1. From Avi: Please revert the entire pull (git revert 8ef9ea85a2cc1) while I work this out - it isn't trivial. Signed-off-by: Anthony Liguori <aliguori@us.ibm.com>
