We have the following simplified callgraph in mips_fulong2e_init(): cpu_init() => cpu_mips_init() object_new() mips_cpu_initfn() cpu_exec_init() register_savevm(NULL, "cpu", cpu_index, CPU_SAVE_VERSION, cpu_save, cpu_load, env) register_savevm(NULL, "cpu", 0, 3, cpu_save, cpu_load, env) CPU_SAVE_VERSION is defined as 3 in target-mips/cpu.h. fulong2e instantiates one CPU, so its cpu_index is 0. Thus the two are fully identical. Therefore just remove the second call in fulong2e. HPET legacy emulation will require control over the PIT IRQ output. To enable this, add support for an alternative IRQ output object to the PIT factory function. If the isa_irq number is < 0, this object will be used. This also removes the IRQ number property from the PIT class as we now use a generic GPIO output pin that is connected by the factory function. 2012-01-04vmstate, memory: decouple vmstate from memory APIAvi Kivity
Currently creating a memory region automatically registers it for live migration. This differs from other state (which is enumerated in a VMStateDescription structure) and ties the live migration code into the memory core. Decouple the two by introducing a separate API, vmstate_register_ram(), for registering a RAM block for migration. This patch does not try to fix tabs, long lines and other problems in the changed lines, therefore checkpatch.pl reports many violations. 2010-07-06qemu_ram_alloc: Add DeviceState and name parametersAlex Williamson
These will be used to generate unique id strings for ramblocks. The name field is required, the device pointer is optional as most callers don't have a device. When there's no device or the device isn't a child of a bus implementing BusInfo.get_dev_path, the name should be unique for the platform.
