2018-11-05x86_iommu: move vtd_generate_msi_message in common fileSingh, Brijesh
The vtd_generate_msi_message() in intel-iommu is used to construct a MSI Message from IRQ. A similar function will be needed when we add interrupt remapping support in amd-iommu. Moving the function in common file to avoid the code duplication. Rename it to x86_iommu_irq_to_msi_message(). There is no logic changes in the code flow. 2018-11-05x86_iommu: move the kernel-irqchip check in common codeSingh, Brijesh
Interrupt remapping needs kernel-irqchip={off|split} on both Intel and AMD platforms. Move the check in common place. 2018-01-18x86_iommu: check if machine has PCI busMohammed Gamal
Starting qemu with qemu-system-x86_64 -S -M isapc -device {amd|intel}-iommu leads to a segfault. The code assume PCI bus is present and tries to access the bus structure without checking. Since Intel VT-d and AMDVI should only work with PCI, add a check for PCI bus and return error if not present. 2018-01-18x86_iommu: Move machine check to x86_iommu_realize()Mohammed Gamal
Instead of having the same error checks in vtd_realize() and amdvi_realize(), move that over to the generic x86_iommu_realize(). 2017-05-25intel_iommu: support passthrough (PT)Peter Xu
Hardware support for VT-d device passthrough. Although current Linux can live with iommu=pt even without this, but this is faster than when using software passthrough. 2017-01-10intel_iommu: support device iotlb descriptorJason Wang
This patch enables device IOTLB support for intel iommu. The major work is to implement QI device IOTLB descriptor processing and notify the device through iommu notifier. 2016-07-21x86-iommu: introduce IEC notifiersPeter Xu
This patch introduces x86 IOMMU IEC (Interrupt Entry Cache) invalidation notifier list. When vIOMMU receives IEC invalidate request, all the registered units will be notified with specific invalidation requests. Intel IOMMU is the first provider that generates such a event. 2016-07-20x86-iommu: introduce "intremap" propertyPeter Xu
Adding one property for intel-iommu devices to specify whether we should support interrupt remapping. By default, IR is disabled. To enable it, we should use (take Intel IOMMU as example): -device intel_iommu,intremap=on This property can be shared by Intel and future AMD IOMMUs.
