2024-02-27hw/hppa: do not require CONFIG_USBPaolo Bonzini
With --without-default-devices it is possible to build a binary that does not include any USB host controller and therefore that does not include the code guarded by CONFIG_USB. While the simpler creation functions such as usb_create_simple can be inlined, this is not true of usb_bus_find(). Remove it, replacing it with a search of the single USB bus on the machine. 2024-02-21hw/hppa/Kconfig: Fix building with "configure --without-default-devices"Thomas Huth
When running "configure" with "--without-default-devices", building of qemu-system-hppa currently fails with: /usr/bin/ld: libqemu-hppa-softmmu.fa.p/hw_hppa_machine.c.o: in function `machine_HP_common_init_tail': hw/hppa/machine.c:399: undefined reference to `usb_bus_find' /usr/bin/ld: hw/hppa/machine.c:399: undefined reference to `usb_create_simple' /usr/bin/ld: hw/hppa/machine.c:400: undefined reference to `usb_bus_find' /usr/bin/ld: hw/hppa/machine.c:400: undefined reference to `usb_create_simple' collect2: error: ld returned 1 exit status ninja: build stopped: subcommand failed. make: *** [Makefile:162: run-ninja] Error 1 And after fixing this, the qemu-system-hppa binary refuses to run due to the missing 'pci-ohci' and 'pci-serial' devices. Let's add the right config switches to fix these problems. 2022-05-08hppa: use new CONFIG_HPPA_B160L option instead of CONFIG_DINO to build hppa ↵Mark Cave-Ayland
machine DINO refers to the GSC-PCI bridge device which will soon be handled separately, however the QEMU HPPA machine is actually based upon the HPPA B160L as indicated by the Linux kernel dmesg output when booted in qemu-system-hppa and the QEMU MAINTAINERS file. Update the machine configuration to use CONFIG_HPPA_B160L instead of CONFIG_DINO and also update the machine description accordingly. 2020-01-27hppa: Add emulation of Artist graphicsSven Schnelle
This adds emulation of Artist graphics good enough to get a text console on both Linux and HP-UX. The X11 server from HP-UX also works. Adjust boot-serial-test to disable graphics, so that SeaBIOS outputs to the serial port, as expected by the test. 2020-01-27hppa: Add support for LASI chip with i82596 NICHelge Deller
LASI is a built-in multi-I/O chip which supports serial, parallel, network (Intel i82596 Apricot), sound and other functionalities. LASI has been used in many HP PARISC machines. This patch adds the necessary parts to allow Linux and HP-UX to detect LASI and the network card. 2019-03-21virtio-vga: only enable for specific boardsPaolo Bonzini
When virtio-vga was added, the intention was to only support it for those machines where the firmware does not know about virtio-gpu, and supported VGA legacy hardware before virtio-{gpu,vga} were introduced. The Kconfig switch however enabled virtio-vga for all machines with a PCI bus, and libvirt then prefers it even on hardware where virtio-gpu would be preferrable. At least for now, only enable virtio-vga for PC, hppa and pSeries machines, as was the case before Kconfig dependencies were introduced. 2019-03-07kconfig: introduce kconfig filesPaolo Bonzini
The Kconfig files were generated mostly with this script: for i in `grep -ho CONFIG_[A-Z0-9_]* default-configs/* | sort -u`; do set fnord `git grep -lw $i -- 'hw/*/Makefile.objs' ` shift if test $# = 1; then cat >> $(dirname $1)/Kconfig << EOF config ${i#CONFIG_} bool EOF git add $(dirname $1)/Kconfig else echo $i $* fi done sed -i '$d' hw/*/Kconfig for i in hw/*; do if test -d $i && ! test -f $i/Kconfig; then touch $i/Kconfig git add $i/Kconfig fi done Whenever a symbol is referenced from multiple subdirectories, the script prints the list of directories that reference the symbol. These symbols have to be added manually to the Kconfig files. Kconfig.host and hw/Kconfig were created manually.
