2021-07-20hw/riscv/Kconfig: Add missing dependency MICROCHIP_PFSOC -> SERIALPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé
Commit a8fb0a500a6 ("hw/char: Add Microchip PolarFire SoC MMUART emulation") added a dependency on the SERIAL model, but forgot to add the Kconfig selector. Add the dependency to the MCHP_PFSOC_MMUART symbol to fix when building the MICROCHIP_PFSOC machine stand-alone: /usr/bin/ld: libcommon.fa.p/hw_char_mchp_pfsoc_mmuart.c.o: in function `mchp_pfsoc_mmuart_create': hw/char/mchp_pfsoc_mmuart.c:79: undefined reference to `serial_mm_init' Fixes: a8fb0a500a6 ("hw/char: Add Microchip PolarFire SoC MMUART emulation") Acked-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Philippe Mathieu-Daudé <philmd@redhat.com> Message-Id: <20210515173716.358295-7-philmd@redhat.com> Reviewed-by: Alistair Francis <alistair.francis@wdc.com> Reviewed-by: Bin Meng <bmeng.cn@gmail.com>

2021-03-06hw/char: Introduce SH_SCI Kconfig entryPhilippe Mathieu-Daudé
We want to be able to use the 'SH4' config for architecture specific features. Add more fine-grained selection by adding a CONFIG_SH_SCI selector for the SH4 serial controller. Add the missing MAINTAINERS entries. 2020-07-11hw/char: avr: Add limited support for USART peripheralMichael Rolnik
These were designed to facilitate testing but should provide enough function to be useful in other contexts. Only a subset of the functions of each peripheral is implemented, mainly due to the lack of a standard way to handle electrical connections (like GPIO pins). 2019-05-17hw/char: Move multi-serial devices into separate fileThomas Huth
In our downstream distribution of QEMU, we'd like to ship the binary without the multi-serial PCI devices. To make this disablement easier, let's move the devices into a separate file and add a proper Kconfig- switch for these devices. 2019-03-07build: convert pci.mak to KconfigPaolo Bonzini
Instead of including the same list of devices for each target, set CONFIG_PCI to true, and make the devices default to present whenever PCI is available. However, s390x does not want all the PCI devices, so there is a separate symbol to enable them. Done mostly with the following script: while read i; do i=${i%=y}; i=${i#CONFIG_} sed -i -e'/^config '$i'$/!b' -en \ -e'a\' -e' default y if PCI_DEVICES\' -e' depends on PCI' \ `grep -lw $i hw/*/Kconfig` done < default-configs/pci.mak followed by replacing a few "depends on" clauses with "select" whenever the symbol is not really related to PCI. 2019-03-07kconfig: introduce kconfig filesPaolo Bonzini
The Kconfig files were generated mostly with this script: for i in `grep -ho CONFIG_[A-Z0-9_]* default-configs/* | sort -u`; do set fnord `git grep -lw $i -- 'hw/*/Makefile.objs' ` shift if test $# = 1; then cat >> $(dirname $1)/Kconfig << EOF config ${i#CONFIG_} bool EOF git add $(dirname $1)/Kconfig else echo $i $* fi done sed -i '$d' hw/*/Kconfig for i in hw/*; do if test -d $i && ! test -f $i/Kconfig; then touch $i/Kconfig git add $i/Kconfig fi done Whenever a symbol is referenced from multiple subdirectories, the script prints the list of directories that reference the symbol. These symbols have to be added manually to the Kconfig files. Kconfig.host and hw/Kconfig were created manually.
