2018-07-07sm501: Implement i2c part for reading monitor EDIDBALATON Zoltan
Emulate the i2c part of SM501 which is used to access the EDID info from a monitor. The vmstate structure is changed and its version is increased but SM501 is only used on SH and PPC sam460ex machines that don't support cross-version migration. 2018-07-03ppc: Include vga cirrus card into the compiling processSebastian Bauer
Drivers for this card exists on PPC-based AmigaOS guests so it is useful to allow users to emulate the graphics card for PPC machines. As cirrus vga is currently preferred over std(vga) in absence of any user choice, this change also sets the default display of spapr machines to std as otherwise qemu refuses to start these machines. Not specifying an explicit graphics mode is for instance done by 'make check'. Signed-off-by: Sebastian Bauer <mail@sebastianbauer.info> Signed-off-by: David Gibson <david@gibson.dropbear.id.au>
2018-07-03hw/timer: Add basic M41T80 emulationBALATON Zoltan

2018-07-03hw/ppc: Give sam46ex its own config optionDavid Gibson
At present the Sam460ex board is activated by the general CONFIG_PPC4XX option. However that includes the board for both ppc-softmmu and (deprecated) ppcemb-softmmu builds. As Sam460ex is developed, that would require adding more things into ppcemb-softmmu, which we don't want to do. Signed-off-by: David Gibson <david@gibson.dropbear.id.au>
2018-06-21ppc4xx_i2c: Implement directcntl registerBALATON Zoltan
As well as being able to generate its own i2c transactions, the ppc4xx i2c controller has a DIRECTCNTL register which allows explicit control of the i2c lines. Using this register an OS can directly bitbang i2c operations. In order to let emulated i2c devices respond to this, we need to wire up the DIRECTCNTL register to qemu's bitbanged i2c handling code. 2018-02-11misc: introduce new mos6522 VIA device and enable it for ppc buildsMark Cave-Ayland
The MOS6522 VIA forms the bridge part of several Mac devices, including the Mac via-cuda and via-pmu devices. Introduce a standard mos6522 device that can be shared amongst multiple implementations. This is effectively taking the 6522 parts out of cuda.c and turning them into a separate device whilst also applying some style tidy-ups and including a conversion to trace-events. 2018-02-05i2c: Add a CONFIG_I2C master switch to the configuration filesThomas Huth
The i2c core and the at24c EEPROM should only be compiled and linked on the machines that support i2c. Otherwise it's quite strange to see the at24c-eeprom to be "available" on qemu-system-s390x for example. 2018-01-20default-configs/ppc-softmmu: Restructure the switches according to the machinesThomas Huth
Order the CONFIG switches in ppc-softmmu.mak according to the machine classes where they are used (embedded, Mac or PReP), so that it is easier for the users to disable a set of switches completely if they are not needed. Also add the missing CONFIG_IDE_SII3112 switch to the embedded section which was previously only added to ppcemb-softmmu.mak. And while we're at it, also remove the CONFIG_IDE_CMD646 switch since this controller does not seem to be used by any ppc machine in QEMU. 2017-10-16build: remove CONFIG_LIBDECNUMBERPaolo Bonzini
It is used by all PPC targets; we can give the directory its own Makefile.objs file, and include it directly from target/ppc. target/s390 can do the same when it starts using it. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>
2017-09-19default-configs: Replace $(and ...) with $(call land, ...)Thomas Huth
Using $(and ...) is dangerous here: It only works as long as the first argument is set to 'y' or completely unset. It does not work if the first argument is set to 'n' for example. Let's use the "land" make function instead which has been written explicitely for this purpose. 2017-09-15net: Add SunGEM device emulation as found on Apple UniNorthBenjamin Herrenschmidt
This adds a simplistic emulation of the Sun GEM ethernet controller found in Apple ASICs. Currently we only support the Apple UniNorth 1.x variant, but the other Apple or Sun variants should mostly be a matter of adding PCI IDs options. We have a very primitive emulation of a single Broadcom 5201 PHY which is supported by the MacOS driver. This model brings out-of-the-box networking to MacOS 9, and all versions of OS X I tried with the mac99 platform. Further improvements from Mark: - Remove sungem.h file, moving constants into sungem.c as required - Switch to using tracepoints for debugging - Split register blocks into separate memory regions - Use arrays in SunGEMState to hold register values - Add state-saving support Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org> Signed-off-by: Mark Cave-Ayland <mark.cave-ayland@ilande.co.uk> Signed-off-by: David Gibson <david@gibson.dropbear.id.au>

2017-02-06Split serial-isa into its own config optionDavid Gibson
At present, the core device model code for 8250-like serial ports (serial.c) and the code for serial ports attached to ISA-style legacy IO (serial-isa.c) are both controlled by the CONFIG_SERIAL variable. There are lots and lots of embedded platforms that have 8250-like serial ports but have never had anything resembling ISA legacy IO. Therefore, split serial-isa into its own CONFIG_SERIAL_ISA option so it can be disabled for platforms where it's not appropriate. For now, I enabled CONFIG_SERIAL_ISA in every default-config where CONFIG_SERIAL is enabled, excepting microblaze, or32, and xtensa. As best as I can tell, those platforms never used legacy ISA, and also don't include PCI support (which would allow connection of a PCI->ISA bridge and/or a southbridge including legacy ISA serial ports). 2015-02-27Create specific config option for "platform-bus"David Gibson
Currently the "platform-bus" device is included for all softmmu builds. This bridge is intended for use on any platforms that require dynamic creation of sysbus devices. However, at present it is used only for the PPC E500 target, with plans for the ARM "virt" target in the immediate future. To avoid a not-very-useful entry appearing in "qemu -device ?" output on other targets, this patch makes a specific config option for platform-bus and enables it (for now) only on ppc configurations which include E500 and on ARM (which always includes the "virt" target). 2014-09-08PPC: Fix default config ordering and add eTSEC for ppc64Alexander Graf
We messed up the ordering in our default configs for PPC. The top entries are generic entries, then come sections that indicate that features are only in because of a special feature (such as PReP). Fix the ordering again and while at it add eTSEC support to the ppc64 target so that we can spawn eTSEC adapters with qemu-system-ppc64. Signed-off-by: Alexander Graf <agraf@suse.de>

2013-07-01kvm/openpic: in-kernel mpic supportScott Wood
Enables support for the in-kernel MPIC that thas been merged into the KVM next branch. This includes irqfd/KVM_IRQ_LINE support from Alex Graf (along with some other improvements). Note from Alex regarding kvm_irqchip_create(): On x86, one would call kvm_irqchip_create() to initialize an in-kernel interrupt controller. That function then goes ahead and initializes global capability variables as well as the default irq routing table. On ppc, we can't call kvm_irqchip_create() because we can have different types of interrupt controllers. So we want to do all the things that function would do for us in the in-kernel device init handler. 2013-02-19make usb devices configurableGerd Hoffmann
Leave the core usb devices (usb hub, tablet, mouse, keyboard) enabled unconditionally. Make the other ones configurable. Exceptions: - bluetooth: not qdevified yet, has a vl.c dependency because of that, thus disabling isn't as easy as not linking the object file. - smardcard: ccid-card-emulated depends on that one *and* CONFIG_SMARTCARD_NSS.
