Pull request description:

  According to the [ThreadSanitizer docs](https://clang.llvm.org/docs/ThreadSanitizer.html#current-status):
  >  C++11 threading is supported with **llvm libc++**.

  For example, the thread sanitizer build is currently not checking for double lock of mutexes.
