2017-07-31net/eth: fix incorrect check of iov_to_buf() return valuePhilippe Mathieu-Daudé
So we have sizeof(struct in6_address) != sizeof(uintptr_t) and Clang > Coverity on this, see 4555ca6816c :) net/eth.c:426:30: warning: The code calls sizeof() on a pointer type. This can produce an unexpected result return bytes_read == sizeof(dst_addr); ^ ~~~~~~~~~~ net/eth.c:475:34: warning: The code calls sizeof() on a pointer type. 2017-03-06eth: Extend vlan stripping functionsDmitry Fleytman
Make VLAN stripping functions return number of bytes copied to given Ethernet header buffer. This information should be used to re-compose packet IOV after VLAN stripping. Cc: qemu-stable@nongnu.org Signed-off-by: Dmitry Fleytman <dmitry@daynix.com> Signed-off-by: Jason Wang <jasowang@redhat.com>
2016-07-18net: fix incorrect argument to iov_to_bufPaolo Bonzini
Coverity reports a "suspicious sizeof" which is indeed wrong. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Jason Wang <jasowang@redhat.com>
2016-07-18net: fix incorrect access to pointerPaolo Bonzini
This is not dereferencing the pointer, and instead checking only the value of the pointer. Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Jason Wang <jasowang@redhat.com>
2016-06-02net_pkt: Extend packet abstraction as required by e1000e functionalityDmitry Fleytman
This patch extends the TX/RX packet abstractions with features that will be used by the e1000e device implementation. Changes are: 1. Support iovec lists for RX buffers 2. Deeper RX packets parsing 3. Loopback option for TX packets 4. Extended VLAN headers handling 5. RSS processing for RX packets Signed-off-by: Dmitry Fleytman <dmitry.fleytman@ravellosystems.com> Signed-off-by: Leonid Bloch <leonid.bloch@ravellosystems.com> Reviewed-by: Michael S. Clean up includes so that osdep.h is included first and headers which it implies are not included manually. This commit was created with scripts/clean-includes. Signed-off-by: Peter Maydell <peter.maydell@linaro.org> Message-id: 1454089805-5470-11-git-send-email-peter.maydell@linaro.org

The macro g_assert_not_reached is a better self documenting replacement for assert(0) or assert(false). Signed-off-by: Stefan Weil <sw@weilnetz.de> Signed-off-by: Michael Tokarev <mjt@tls.msk.ru>
