2019-03-18hw/char/parallel: Make it possible to compile also without CONFIG_PARALLELThomas Huth
For the downstream distribution of QEMU, we want to compile without CONFIG_PARALLEL. Commit 9157eee1b1c076ff3 already moved the function parallel_hds_isa_init() (which is still required for linking) into a file that is included anyway, but commit bb3d5ea858e7f888563a moved it to a separate file which is only compiled again if CONFIG_PARALLEL is set. To be able to link QEMU again without CONFIG_PARALLEL, the file should be considered for linking for all targets that have CONFIG_ISA_BUS. And while we're at it, add a proper comment in there with the rationale for the separate file. 2019-03-07kconfig: introduce kconfig filesPaolo Bonzini
The Kconfig files were generated mostly with this script: for i in `grep -ho CONFIG_[A-Z0-9_]* default-configs/* | sort -u`; do set fnord `git grep -lw $i -- 'hw/*/Makefile.objs' ` shift if test $# = 1; then cat >> $(dirname $1)/Kconfig << EOF config ${i#CONFIG_} bool EOF git add $(dirname $1)/Kconfig else echo $i $* fi done sed -i '$d' hw/*/Kconfig for i in hw/*; do if test -d $i && ! test -f $i/Kconfig; then touch $i/Kconfig git add $i/Kconfig fi done Whenever a symbol is referenced from multiple subdirectories, the script prints the list of directories that reference the symbol. These symbols have to be added manually to the Kconfig files. Kconfig.host and hw/Kconfig were created manually.
