2024-09-08hw/nubus/nubus-device: Range check 'slot' propertyPeter Maydell
The TYPE_NUBUS_DEVICE class lets the user specify the nubus slot using an int32 "slot" QOM property. Its realize method doesn't do any range checking on this value, which Coverity notices by way of the possibility that 'nd->slot * NUBUS_SUPER_SLOT_SIZE' might overflow the 32-bit arithmetic it is using. Constrain the slot value to be less than NUBUS_SLOT_NB (16). 2024-07-23hw/nubus/virtio-mmio: Fix missing ERRP_GUARD() in realize handlerZhao Liu
According to the comment in qapi/error.h, dereferencing @errp requires ERRP_GUARD(): * = Why, when and how to use ERRP_GUARD() = * * Without ERRP_GUARD(), use of the @errp parameter is restricted: * - It must not be dereferenced, because it may be null. ... * ERRP_GUARD() lifts these restrictions. * * To use ERRP_GUARD(), add it right at the beginning of the function. * @errp can then be used without worrying about the argument being * NULL or &error_fatal. * * Using it when it's not needed is safe, but please avoid cluttering * the source with useless code. In nubus_virtio_mmio_realize(), @errp is dereferenced without ERRP_GUARD(). Although nubus_virtio_mmio_realize() - as a DeviceClass.realize() method - is never passed a null @errp argument, it should follow the rules on @errp usage. Add the ERRP_GUARD() there. 2024-02-27hw/nubus: add nubus-virtio-mmio deviceMark Cave-Ayland
The nubus-virtio-mmio device is a Nubus card that contains a set of 32 virtio-mmio devices and a goldfish PIC similar to the m68k virt machine that can be plugged into the m68k q800 machine. There are currently a number of drivers under development that can be used in conjunction with this device to provide accelerated and/or additional hypervisor services to 68k Classic MacOS. 2024-02-27hw/nubus-device: round Declaration ROM memory region address to ↵Mark Cave-Ayland
qemu_target_page_size() Declaration ROM binary images can be any arbitrary size, however if a host ROM memory region is not aligned to qemu_target_page_size() then we fail the "assert(!(iotlb & ~TARGET_PAGE_MASK))" check in tlb_set_page_full(). 2021-09-29nubus: generate bus error when attempting to access empty slotsMark Cave-Ayland
According to "Designing Cards and Drivers for the Macintosh Family" any attempt to access an unimplemented address location on Nubus generates a bus error. MacOS uses a custom bus error handler to detect empty Nubus slots, and with the current implementation assumes that all slots are occupied as the Nubus transactions never fail. Switch nubus_slot_ops and nubus_super_slot_ops over to use {read,write}_with_attrs and hard-code them to return MEMTX_DECODE_ERROR so that unoccupied Nubus slots will generate the expected bus error.
