2023-01-11accel: introduce accelerator blocker APIEmanuele Giuseppe Esposito
This API allows the accelerators to prevent vcpus from issuing new ioctls while execting a critical section marked with the accel_ioctl_inhibit_begin/end functions. Note that all functions submitting ioctls must mark where the ioctl is being called with accel_{cpu_}ioctl_begin/end(). This API requires the caller to always hold the BQL. API documentation is in sysemu/accel-blocker.h Internally, it uses a QemuLockCnt together with a per-CPU QemuLockCnt (to minimize cache line bouncing) to keep avoid that new ioctls run when the critical section starts, and a QemuEvent to wait that all running ioctls finish. 2023-01-06meson: cleanup dummy-cpus.c rulesPaolo Bonzini
Now that qtest is available on all targets including Windows, dummy-cpus.c is included unconditionally in the build. It also does not need to be compiled per-target. Reviewed-by: Marc-André Lureau <marcandre.lureau@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Paolo Bonzini <pbonzini@redhat.com>
2022-10-28accel/qtest: Support qtest accelerator for WindowsXuzhou Cheng
Currently signal SIGIPI [=SIGUSR1] is used to kick the dummy CPU when qtest accelerator is used. However SIGUSR1 is unsupported on Windows. To support Windows, we add a QemuSemaphore CPUState::sem to kick the dummy CPU instead for Windows. 2021-06-03hvf: Move assert_hvf_ok() into common directoryAlexander Graf
Until now, Hypervisor.framework has only been available on x86_64 systems. With Apple Silicon shipping now, it extends its reach to aarch64. To prepare for support for multiple architectures, let's start moving common code out into its own accel directory. This patch moves assert_hvf_ok() and introduces generic build infrastructure. 2020-10-24accel: Add xen CpusAccel using dummy-cpusJason Andryuk
Xen was broken by commit 1583a3898853 ("cpus: extract out qtest-specific code to accel/qtest"). Xen relied on qemu_init_vcpu() calling qemu_dummy_start_vcpu() in the default case, but that was replaced by g_assert_not_reached(). Add a minimal "CpusAccel" for Xen using the dummy-cpus implementation used by qtest.
